Chris,
After a show and after 16 weeks of taking Kre Oxipump and GH Accelerator do you recommend down time? 3-4 weeks off then back on? I'm not sure if the results tend to attenuate or not. Thanks.

Chris are you a fan of BCAA's?
If so do you like the tablet form, or powder mixes?
Also, can Kre-Oxi be taken on off days???

Chris,
What is your opinion on intra or post workout insulin spiking (with simple carbs) during a dieting phase? Do you keep this "PWO" shake in until x amount of week out from a show or do you prefer to just have your athletes eat their next meal (containing complex carbs) soon following the workout? saving the simple carbs PWO for offseason.
Do you believe in "cheat meals," "high carbs days" or both?
- I usually determine the necessity of a "cheat" meal depending on a few variables like conditioning, energy levels, being ahead, depleted etc but I always try to include them instinctively maybe once every 14 days or so when I REALLY feel that I (or any of my clients) could benefit from it to keep the metabolism going - when a clean "higher carb day" just doesn't cut it. I personally think people emphasize the importance of "cheating" too much and it hinders their progress.
-As far as higher carb days- when do you usually justify the need for this? ( I would imagine much more often than you recommend a "cheat" meal)

I would not take KreOxipump on off days ...only before training
I love BCAA ...powder form or capsules. Thats why ECDY N7 contains 20% more BCAA then any other whey. The BCAA actually increase the absorption of those already IN the whey...see more here on it

When a bb is leaning down at a consistent rate, I will take every 4th tyraining session and include simple carbs before and again after training. I will also include a cheat day only when I see or feel its required. FOr example, whenever Eduardo Correa looked like he was getting small in prepping for the 202's, I would have him eat anything he wanted for a meal. That was usually anywhere between once every 5 to 10 days. Pizza, ice cream, sushi. It didnt matter. Of course, he didnt eat insane amounts, but he just went off his diet. So, I guess you can use as a guideline, when you see your body not really getting any harder, you can take a meal and eat whatever you want. And yes, people cheat too much. Period. Everyone is worried about being small or flat = soft physiques

Solid guidelines. Thanks Chris. So then consistently speaking, besides the occasional pre/post workout simple carb spikes you do not advocate keeping the PWO shake in on a daily (training day) basis, and rather prefer the athlete to have his next meal with complex carbs etc. I must assume then, that you are in favor of some form of anti-catabolic supplement during training such as BCAA?

I too am interested in this question. I think the benefits of essential fats are undeniable facts for muscle cell membrane function, hormone balance etc however you have had great success with very-low fat dieting. I personally think that whether someone derives more or less calories from fat vs. carbs depends on their individual metabolism, however I must also assume that you advocate an EFA supplement when recommending very low fat dieting.
Godstrength, I know your question was directed towrads Chris, but for the sake of discussion Ill contribute my recommendation- I never really recommend fat intake to be lower than .25g/lb LBM (as a GENERAL rule of thumb). - such would equate to about 50g per day for a male with 200lbs LBM.

Sort of....when a bodybuilder is just too soft, sometimes before I increase his carbs....(so he would be on lower carbs) I would have him increase his fats for a couple days. Nothing radical. I would switch a meal from egg whites to lean red meat and maybe a fish or chicken breast meal to slamon...say for two days...THEN i might have him increse his carbs. FOr every person its a little different simply becasue people are individuals
