Do you include any more fats than you did back then? I don't think I used any.
Could you post a brief summary of that here? It was a long time ago and I'm getting old (just turned 40)! For meso-endos like myself, I think it is very effective.no I dont include any more fats. I have not opened my books in years but it goes something like this'
5 days 2 grams protein per pound bdwt w/ .5 grams of carbs per pound of Bdwt
Day 6 protein comes down to 1 gram per pound and carbs go to 3 grams per pound
Something like that. Thats from memory...and its a bad one cause I am older and (grayer and smaller and smoother) then you

Chris just received your championship bodybuilder book today firstly its very good.
second a couple of quick questions on the advanced training schedule.
for example i will look at chest.
when it says 2 working sets this is first set as heavy as i can aiming for 10 reps then do i increase the weight and go for 10 again. trying to progressivly increase this weight each week.
also it then says 1-2 advanced sets - i presume this means either do 2 sets of explode and accelerate sets or do 2 sets of something from the advanced training section such as rest pause/strip sets/negatives etc. pr rotate these weekly
also in the intermediate workout it says do 1 working set which will be to failure again progressivly increasing the weight each week then do 2 exploding and accelerating sets. do you use the same weight as the first working set or would this be slightly reduced as you have gone all out on the previouse set?
last question - i notice on your splits you pair back and biceps and chest and triceps together. i have always preferd chest/biceps and back/triceps as feel the arm muscle get worked better this way. would this effect the program if i changed it around.
If you think it will make a difference then i will stick to the way it is written as i intend to use your plan for the next 6 months during my off season phase.
great book and thnks in advance for any help/info you can offer

Cycle Diet and Fat.
Chris:
I`ve read your book about Everything you need to know about fat Loss, 12th printing October 2006 in which your cycle diet the fat consumption is no more than 10% of the total calories of your cycle diet.
In the last years I read your articles in magazines in which you increased the fat consumption to a 30% of the total of calories.
In a program of fat losing bodybuilders who`re going to compete:
protein in general is kept in the same range.
Do you consider adequate to cycle carbs and fat:
more carbs the days you train.
more fat the days you don`t.
Thank you.

My editors ("truth changers") may have edited /changed that. I am a low fat guy so I would say cycle the carbs. Move them around. However, in people who have a tought time getting lean, I would perhaps prolong the low carbs in a cycle.......before going up and during a long stretch of low carbs, I would not be against bringing the fat intake up

Ok, so Chris for a guy 175lbs with a bf of 12% do you think carb cycling is a good option to mantain muscle and lose fat faster? cuz i want to lean down to 4-5% for a show in 12 weeks , would love not overkill myself with lots of cardio but cycling carbs on 5 days low carb 2 days moderate-high carb days

Chris,
Do you think taking creatine prior to cardio will hinder fat loss?
Thanks!

You have to experiment and see for yourself. It cant hurt to take 50 before training and 50 after. Sometimes, though its rare, I will have someone dieting on say 100 grams...go all day with none then eat the carbs before bed. Usually, this causes them to wake up starving to death and I think that feeling of being really hungry is beneficial. It seems to be a strong indicator that the metabolism is moving
