I actually think that is better, that way more people can compete and more pound for pound strong bodybuilders will come out of the woodworks.
The strongman competitions been dominated by 250-300 lb behemoths...

Stan must be pissed about the whole situation with Ben dropping out and with the talk of it being for reps etc.........

stan IS the worlds strongest bodybuilder ben wouldnt be able to beat him anyway. but stan will never be able to beat ben on a bbing stage and thats more important. no sense in ben facing him in a powerlifting contest he has more important things to do

that sucks. hardly fair either, weight gain and strength arent linear. repping 400lbs even at 100lbs lighter is much easier than repping 600 at 300. shouldnt have fuked with it. pound for pound shouldnt matter anyway, its supposed to be the strongest bodybuilder.

With Ben dropping out, it appeared that this contest was doomed, so anything is better than nothing.

Bullshit.
It's not "The Pro Bodybuilder With The Highest Endurance" competition.
I don't care if they use a formula to account for bodyweight, but come on....REPS!???!!??!?!?!?!
Way to fu*k it up, IFBB.

This sounds lame. I liked the way they did it last year.

This is a great idea....it should all be relative when you are dealing with a strongest competition. Someone weighing 300 pounds benching 350 has never impressed me as much as someone weighing 200 benching the same.
