vitamin c post workout ok?
I am going to be supplementing with 1g vitamin c pills for cortisol, and was thinking of dosing it meal 1, pre workout and post workout. Does this seem right?
I have read some sites saying not to take it post and others saying to take it post.

Why pre-workout? Personally, I would take it post only.

I have also heard that taking antioxidants post workout (within the 45 mins of your last exercise) is a bad idea - Vit C and oils were mentioned. Sorry, cant remember much more. For what its worth, I take my Multivits with breakfast and supper.
Hope you find the info you looking for.

I just take an Ester-C timed release 2 times a day, no pressure on timing if it's always in the bloodstream!

I take 1g upon waking, 1g mid day, 1g before bed. If my schedule gets screwed and I have to workout late or early I will skip a dose.

Despite what some have claimed about why we should avoid antioxidants after exercise, I think it is a very wise move.
Doctor Mauro Di Pasquale, in his latest newsletter found at http://eliteperformancenewsletter.com, presents a number of scientific articles concerning the enduring oxidative damage produced by intense exercise and the value of antioxidants in reducing this damage. Vitamin C is one of the antioxidants examined. There's even an article indicating the value of alpha lipoic acid, commonly known only as an antioxidant, for increasing the heat shock protein activity that many bodybuilders are striving to boost. Doctor Di Pasquale was interviewed on Superhuman Radio recently.
