To Test or not to Test
I recently went to a HRT center to have bloodwork done. I was contacted to go over my bloodwork and see what I qualified for. I was told that my total testosterone was on the upper end of the scale and my free test was also very good. After a Doctor reviewed my bloodwork they determined I didnt qualify for test but I did qualify for HGH because the it was low. They told me that I would do well to avoid test because I wouldn't want to interfere with my body's natural test production. How true is this? I apologize for not having numbers, Im still waiting for the results in the mail. Im 32yo male, weight lifting 8 yrs 15-17%bf 195lbs. Ive done three 8 week cycles of var 50 ed over the past 5 years. Never test

the HRT center will only give you a test script for low levels based on the range for your age group..they dont factor in the amount needed or desired for physique enhancement...most insurance plans dont cover HGH prescribed by HRT clinics so you will be paying out of pocket for it most likely...i also wouldnt waste your money on var only cycles unless your a female...test should be the base of all cycles for males..

...I guess what I really want to know is, should I do a cycle of test even though I have a good natural production level?

What are the numbers?
Your testosterone levels are normal you say. You could send me your results by PM if you'd like a second opinion.
Yes, taking testosterone does decrease your own production of natural testosterone. Sometimes, human chorionic gonadotropin is given in place of testosterone replacement which will raise testosterone levels and not lead to testicular atrophy.
