It varies a lot, sometimes I go a bit faster through the whole set, sometimes I put a lot of effort into making the negative very slow (like when I want less weight to feel like more, for whatever reason), and certain exercises/bodyparts have larger ranges of motion (more time). A typical time, I'm guessing, would be about 3-4 seconds.

JRod, awesome thread, as always!
Really looking forward to seeing you take it this year at Team U. Good luck! Also hoping to be able to share that stage (Team U) with you in the next year or 2, a few weight classes below though!

Hey Jeff
what was your major at UC Davis? I re watched your leg training video 2007 (maybe ) with Dave Palumbo at MD In The Trenches. Is there a 24 hr fit up there at Davis or I gotta go up to Sac.?
thx

Here's what my offseason looked like: http://jrod123.blogspot.com/2008/09/...t-tu-2008.html
Another diet thats like the offseason (cause of how far out i was):
http://jrod123.blogspot.com/2009/05/2019-weeks-out.html
And here is a pre-contest diet (from 10 weeks out, so still a decent amount of food): http://jrod123.blogspot.com/2009/07/10-weeks-out.html
As I get closer to the show, the structure stays very similar, I simply lower calories.
(I'm assuming diet is what you were talking about when you said typical day)

I got my BS from Davis in Math. There used to be a 24 hr in Davis, but it closed down--there's one in Sac right by the Westfield Mall.
