GABA vs. Glutamine
What's the difference between the two? How are they best used in bodybuilding?

gaba helps release gh during sleep, more gh= better recovery, more muscle, well-being,etc etc. glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the muscle, supplementing with it will help with recovery also. I just started taking 5g of GABA before sleep, and ive already noticed better sleeping patterns and i feel more 'alive' when i wake up.

while glutamine supplementation has been shown to work with wasting and burn victims, it does not appear to have any muscle gaining effects in normals.

do u take the powder or the pill? I am taking the pill form right now and i kinda think the powder version might hit you quicker, thus being more effective perhaps???

I take 3 mg of Melatonin with 1500 mg of GABA two 750 mg pills. about 20 mins before bed I get some of the best restful sleep. I've been doing pill but going to switch to Power so I can just mix it in my pre-bed Protein shake. But I take the two as a GH booster.

I've heard of studies using GABA pre-workout to boost GH, but this seems retarded since it's the body's main inhibitory neurotransmitter.
However because of that, my thought is PWO it could be valuable to relax the body.
Any thoughts on using GABA in a PWO shake?

Glutamine acts as a precursor to Glutamic Acid, which acts as an excitatory neurotransmitter. Gaba does the opposite and inhibits the firing of neurons. It seems to reason that taking a modest amount of Glutamine post workout could help lessen the severity of the physical "crash" one often feels a couple hours later.

10g GABA before bed does the trick for me. Great stuff.

sure have. and it works. doesnt make you drowzy as melatonin PWO, but deffinately helps relaxation. is it just me, or does anybody's legs hurt when you try to move them after taking gaba? once i take it i dont want to move at all. and sometimes after a dose it feels like my heart has to try harder to beat and my breathing deepens for about a minute... but after that, sweet dreams!
