Rockin' the Fossils
I know there is a forum for entertainment, etc., however I thought it would be cool if the Masters would post what interests them: movies, workout music playlist (post them in itunes?), magazines, books, articles, etc. You guys are my peers and I am interested in what you guys like.
Movies: Just saw The Expendibles. Rocked. Just what I was looking for, good old bad vs good shootem' up. Fun ride. Jet Li vs. Dolf Lundgren was great... Super high body count...lots of dismemberment...awesome.
Love to see some playlist posted: my current one is getting old.
If this doesn't take off, no biggie...but I'm always looking for a great read or film.

I 'm going on 40 so I'm really not a "master" but regarding classic movies I can never get enough of The Pope of Greenwich Village. It just seems that i can relate to just about every character in that movie growing up in North Jersey, especially in the 80's.

I can't wait to see The Expendables. That's my favorite kind of movie. I love action. Blow shit up, shoot shit up, make it as unrealistic yet believable as possible. I can't get enough. I gotta wait til Sunday to see it.

I have been listening to Rammstein and Megaherz, a couple of heavy metal/industrial German bands while I train. Gets me good and hyped!
I don't read much anymore, but I enjoy Robert B. Parker's Spenser novels, and John D Macdonald's Travis McGee novels

Creed
Skillet
Robin Trower - how many of you remember him?
Nickelback
Now I feel like going for a ride on my motorcycle as it's a beautiful morning and the run got my endorphins flowing.

I'm so glad I had a boy. I dunno how to relate to teenage girls....not even when I was one!
Entertaining reading for cardio...Christopher Moore. I love his sense of humor. Every one of his 12 novels is about the occult in some way..fictional, of course. He writes about everything from vampires to zombies to talking fruit bats but all with a sick slightly twisted sense of humor. you know how when something happens and 2 hours later you think of a great comeback? Moore's writes those comebacks into his stories. I can't tell you how many times I've truly LOL'ed while riding the stationary bike. I'm not a reader. I read MAYBE one self help type book a year. Haven't read fiction in many years. I've read 6 Moore novels in the last two months...working on number 7 now. LOL
Part of it too is that my iPod broke. 700 trapped songs just waiting to be played and I can't turn the damned thing on. I'd really like to get a new switch instead of buying and having to reload a new one. So until I figure out what to do I don't have tunes to cardio to so I read.
Edit: If you're a reader, especially a cardio-ing reader, invest in a Kindle. Lightweight and easy. I have the font set so I don't need reading glasses. heeheeYou guys with the huge sponsor ads in your signatures make reading the forums annoying.

Movies: Just about anything and everything in the theaters at any time. Saw "The Expendables" twice yesterday. Would definitely see it again. Comedy, action, even so-called chick flicks. Favorite movie of all time "An Officer and a Gentleman". Worst movie was "Blair Witch Project".
No playlist. I just recently purchased a cheap mp3 player but haven't taken the time to download or upload or whatever it is I'm supposed to do with that contraption.
Magazines would include browsing at Barnes & Noble mostly. I check out the muscle mags, anything with motorcycles, Time, Newsweek, movie magazines, and the gossip stuff, too.
Books would include anything by Lee Child whose character "Jack Reacher" should be appealing to anyone who enjoys action and adventure. James Rollins is another author who knows how to tell a tale that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Longtime Stephen King fan (although he actually likes "Blair Witch Project" as a film
) and have also read a ton of Janet Evanovich's stories of her female bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum.

OK kids here is what the real fossil likes:
MOVIES Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Kellys Heros, Mel Brooks Frankenstein, Fort Apache, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Silver Streak and Up in Smoke. Randee and I did enjoy the new Sherlock Holmes.
BOOKS Always the last one I read....Profiles In Courage
MUSIC 70s RR, some 80s RR, Floyd, Eagles, Neil Young and
Seager fan. My favorite concerts attended were Richeous Brothers, Foriegner, YES, Journey, Elton John, Eagles, Moody Blues, Leon Russel, Hank Williams Jr., Michael Buble because I got 2nd row center stage seats for Randee and she was in heaven, Alabama for the same reason, and Andrea Boticelli.
TV Watched Dexter, Nurse Jackie, Tudors and Sopranos series
with Randee. Some USC football. Doubt if I will watch TV
again. Generally bores the crap outta me.

I like good SciFi movies, and anything with Clint Eastwood. I don't watch a lot of movies or TV.
I love riding my motorcycle but am very cautious on this since losing a friend last year in an accident.
I am a ham radio operator [amateur radio] and talk to people all over the world. Just spoke with a chap in New Zealand. Not too many to talk with there, so it's kind of rare.

I once made a 'Rock goes Country' CD....wish I could recreate it. It started with the Stones 'Girl with the Faraway Eyes' and included Marshall Tucker Band, early Eagles, early Elton John, Beatles, Dr. Hook, Bob Seager and Little River Band.
