If you and the wife work to get the child on a schedule and keep the schedule, you'll be fine. It worked with all our kids, they slept throughout the night, every night, barring illness or a disturbance.

Just a bit of advice..When the mrs and baby arrive home don't make the mistake of tip toeing arround the baby to keep it asleep, parents seem o forget that whilst in hospital it was business as normal 24/7 and the kid still slept.

I trained for my first bodybuilding comp when my first child born. It made things easier because it forced me to organize my time. Everything was perfectly set so if my daughter ate I ate, and when she sleep I sleep, and other times my ex would take her so I could train or sleep a little more. U will be fine. As for getting up in the middle of the night, if ur wife works then take turns but if she doesn't work it is up to her to get up so u can sleep and work the next day. First child my ex worked, but second child with my wife now didn't so she did everything so I could focus on work and training. You will be fine bro!

Maybe you should be more concerned about how you become the best father you can be instead of how becoming a father will interfere with your training...
Are you a pro? Thought not, maybe there are more important things...

My boy who is 11 now and I hear him playing video games right now in the other room had colic for 5 months. I slept 3hrs a night most night for 5 months! Once the colic was done he slept all night. You will be fine!

you will adapt to the amount of sleep over time. my youngest son had to sleep under a UV lamp for 3 weeks when we brought him home and i did OK with the light it took a little getting used to but it all works out in the end. kids are great you will have so much joy from them that it doesn't seem to matter how much sleep you loose.
