12 weeks or 16?
I am now about to start week 11 of my winny cycle.. still on 50mg E3D, loving the results and still not having any sides...
I was hoping to drop the winny at this stage and go onto Anavar for a cycle before my comp which is still 9 weeks away, but it seems that anavar is as common as a unicorn where I am... every one knows about it but no one can produce it..
So.. what, if any, are the extra risks of extending the winny cycle out to 16 weeks instead of my planned 12 weeks...

i always thought winny was added in the last 6 weeks or so not the entire prep. but someone else with more knowledge here should chime in.

I would not do it that long. You dont have sides now but they dont usually show up right away. Winnie is used the last 8 weeks at most. I wouldnt even do it that long(3-4 weeks)

debbie is right. one of the big issues with using winnie, at any point, for an extended period is joint pain and potential connective tissue injury. running it for short periods like 3-6 weeks is common and pretty safe. think logically that is running it in a perfect environment for 8-10 weeks, you are still at risk. now, run it for 8-10 weeks pre-contest and add the streses of calorie depletion, fluid and sodium fluctuations, increased cardio, increased demands on musculature etc and you are setting yourself up for potential injury.

Ohhh and since I can't seem to get hold of any Anavar... I would love to know what you would all recommend instead...

There isn't much else you can substitute for anavar that won't be introducing more sides or take longer to get established. Primo maybe, but it takes 5 weeeks to get going and can have androgenic sides as well.
If you're not experiencing any bad sides at this point, I'm going to venture that, for the purposes of coming into prep, you should be ok running another 4 weeks. I would monitor your sides and you can always drop the dose a little if you don't like the sides.
Here is where it can be important to plan your cycle way ahead of your show instead of planning something and hoping you can find all the components when you need them. There aren't always a pile of interchangeable pieces, and running compounds longer than you've got experience with puts you back in "personal petri dish" mode - all you can do is either drop it or make a calculated decision, w/ monitoring and stay w/ it.

Thank you Sassy69, my trainer is also saying another 4 weeks would be ok as I am not at anywhere near maximum dose and I have not had any sides at all, well apart from some depression and I have since adjusted my thyroxine dose and have found the depression has gone...
And YES! I totally agree with assembling everything prior to starting, I have found out the hard way that making sure everything is already at home and waiting for you is very very important, not just for me but for my husband, who is mid cycle and just been told that one of the parts is now unavailable, not a geat situation...
Looks like it is time for me to make another decision regarding the winny.... ))
Is the fact that I am injecting and not taking it orally going to make a big difference to anything???
