    Default Offseason Fiber?

Does anyone here believe too much fiber can hinder the uptake of some essential nutrients, including proteins and fats? I always eat clean, which with all my food in the offseason I eat about 120+g of fiber per day. I understand it's role in cutting, but was thinking of switching over to some 'whiter' carbs to cut back a little on the fiber as I'm assuming too much (especially at over the 100g mark) can lead to some nutrients being 'flushed' out.

Am I completely wrong in this thinking? Any supporting research to sway either side? Any help or any opionions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

It is possible that too much fiber may reduce the amount of calcium, iron, zinc, copper and magnesium that is absorbed from foods. Deficiencies of these nutrients could result if the amount of fiber in the diet is excessive
Based on that, if you are taking a fiber supplement, I would take an additional multivitamin/mineral supp staggered from when you take your fiber. Also ZMA before bed would fill in some gaps.

25 grams is the recomended amount for an average person
but they also say an average person should eat around 40 grams of protein a day lol

I'm on the same page as you with this one. To avoid this problem, an hour after my last meal I take a fiber supplement (I use fiberlyze). And then I'm good to go seeing as the food is mostly already down there, then by the next day I'm shitting my brains out an hour or two after I wake up.
