Aldactone Question

I have tried aldactone in the past, but don't think I did it correctly. What is the standard way to take it before show time! i know that it is done slowly and several days in advanced. I have 25mg tabs. I am a 140 lb Fbber.

everyone reacts differently to diuretics..it is a question that really cant be answered unless someone with good experience with them takes a look at you...

To s2h's point - each person is totally different but I'd venture everyone has started w/ some sort of "standard" approach and tweaked it based on their response or past experience.

The "standard" I've heard from a wide variety of different trainers is something like 25- 50 mg x 2/day starting Sunday before the show (6 days out). If dyazide is used, that is thrown in at 1/2 tab in 6 hr intervals starting the night before the show (assuming a Saturday show) - e.g. 6 pm, 12 midnite, 6 am.

I guess the best question is...what was your dosing before?...and what were the results?........

Thanks. I only did like 25mg starting tue thru fri by itself. Not a very good result that way.I've heard people used diazide with it. will it be just as effective without.?

I have used it in the past , the doses depended on what I needed. I have start with one 25 mg sunday night
one 25 mg mon night
one 25 mg tues am one 25 mg tues pm
one 25 mg wed am one 25 mg wed pm
one 25 mg thurs am one 25 mg midday 25 mg thurs pm
one 25 mg fri am one 25 mg midday one 25mg fri pm

i first caution you to be very carefull with diuretics if you have limited experience...what was the not very good result?

oh it was that I didn't see much water drop, so I thinking I didn't do enough. I didn't do it all week

what was your protocal as far as pulling water?...how much per day(mon-up to the show)..etc...
