Walk up to anyone in the street and ask them to name a Mr Universe (most people think that's the top of bodybuilding and have never heard of mr olympia) And they will say Arnold. Ask them who Ronnie Coleman is and they will have no idea.

Almost begs to seperate the OPs question in two: 1. Inside the sport of Bodybuilding 2. Outside in the general public.
In my opinion Inside its Arnold over Ronnie by a close margain. Outside its clearly Arnold in a runaway.

OMG this is NO question. Ronnie have on of the greatest physique of all time but, Arnold is the biggest name of this sport. Everybody know him. Only a little group knows Ronnie, Haney, Jay etc.
When an average people hear the word "bodybuilding" 99% of them first reply is Arnold.

Steve Reeves was the first in the movies then Gordon Scott and Reg Park and made it possible for Arnold's Pumping Iron years later

Arnold.
is this a real question?
and honestly, Arnold had the prettier physique, imo..... as awesome as Ronnie is, Arnold is an ideal body type.
I'd imagine more people would rather look like Arnold (circa 1975 - 1978) then Ronnie even in his insane prime.

Nowhere near "half" as many... i'd say less than 1%. If I went to a bar and asked everyone if they'd heard of Ronnie Coleman i'd be amazed if anybody said "Yes", unless they actually followed the sport.
To find a human being who hasn't heard of Arnold you'd have to delve into the Brazilian rain forest and search for a pygmy.

Arnold. It's not called the Ronnie Classic for a reason.
