Skeletal Balm review
It took me a hella long time to finally get around to doing this, but here goes. Thanks to Mike Rodrigues and Need2 for the hook up, I'll try and be as fair as possible!
First, what I used it on. I've had lower back and shoulder issues for a long time now. Sometimes it gets in the way of training, or even makes some every day things a pain in the ass. It's been an ongoing problem that I'm going to have to live with, so I come at this product knowing it won't CURE my problems, just possibly them MORE TOLERABLE. That being said, here are some bullet points (pros and cons) I experienced with the product:
- it's a LOT of product. I wasn't expecting there to be so much, and was pleasantly surprised.
- I applied it on two different occasions, either before I went to the gym, or when I had a flare up. It alleviated the pain altogether in some instances, and made it tolerable in other cases. Like I expected, it's a temp fix, but an EFFECTIVE one.
- the smell can take some getting used to. The only thing I can compare it to is a strong eucalyptus scent. I would almost smell like an old person, yet not quite. This may be a turn-off for some, but it's a small price to pay for the relief you're getting.
All in all, I would recommend this to anyone with a recurring issue, be it shoulder, low back, knee, etc, pain. You get a ton to use, and it's as effective as can be expected from this type of thing. Not a knock on it, it's just that nothing is going to be as effective as actually getting physical therapy or in some cases, surgery. But for those who can't get relief from PT, or it's not severe enough for surgery, it's definitely worth the investment.

I've used the combo for about a year now. I really don't think I could get by without it anymore. The balm last for ever. I've stopped taking the joint repair a couple of times and within a week I start taking it again. It really does help with the aches and pains.

when lifting heavy I have a ton of elbow issues.... it got so bad in summer of 09 I was getting ice and stim at least twice a week at the chiro (was there for therapy anyhow so they just took care of it while I was there for low back issue) might have to give this balm a whirl...
Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it.

MG:
I will have to share my thoughts with you on this product.
I began having problem in my left knee from heavy ass to heels squatting. I went to google and looked for something better than glucosamine. I came across Skeletal Balm and contacted NTBM about this and what I was going through.
Too cut the bullshit and get to the good stuff, I have beeb using this product about a long time now whenever I start to witness pain in my joints. Since I have started taking it, the pain does not come back too often at all. But I applied the SB pre and post training (about an inch diameter is all I needed) and then again right before I went to bed. This would give me a soothing effect on mu joints and I could really tell the blood was flowing much more efficiently to my muscles and joints.

I will definitely give it a try.... the pain I get starts as a dull ache on the inside part of both elbows and by the time I'm done lifting and later into the day and after, it is really painful.... I've tried varying grip and nothing helps...
and if it has an odd smell, maybe it will keep butt heads at the gym at bayDon't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it.
