holy crap....that looked like 135.
I hope he breaks Mendy's record. I like Mendy, but his lifts always have some controversy attached to them. With Ryan's lifts, there's always no doubt.

Crazy strength, but that hard touch and go 680 is a long way off from a paused 700+. I'm not hatin, just sayin. He is certainly on his way to do it, but not in a couple weeks or a few months

Ryan got 650 pounds on his opener. It looked a little precarious when he touched down on his chest but he bulldozered it back up with some crazee bar speed (for 650 pounds!)
He test drove 675 on his 2nd but didn't feel it was in the groove so he passed on trying to fight the crazee burden off his chest after the pause.
He passed on his third attempt, intelligently opting to return to the training hall to work on controlling that super elite level of weight during the pause. I'm guessing we'll see him back on the raw bench platform by late winter/early spring.
Congratulations to Kennelly for getting on the board with a humongous 650 pounds! Seeing him max raw bench on the contest platform was totally worth the 7 hour drive to and from Portland and I encourage anyone in the region of his next contest-of-choice to show up to see this titan in action.
Much Respect,
Sean
