cant sleep?
i work eight days then get four off. i go to bed between 9:30pm and 10:00pm whether i work the next day or not. on work days i get up at 5:15am. my lifting schedule is constant also, same muscle groups each day of the week whether i worked that day or not. the problem is monday when i bench press. i cant sleep. any other night i sleep good but on mondays after benching i just lay in bed awake. could it be my body releases something more or extra hormone wise only after working my chest?

4 mg of melatonin will work wonders. It will push you to sleep but it wont knock you out.....when you feel the urge to sleep, sleep.

I would up the melatonin to at least 6mg, replace the gaba with phenibut..1 to 2 grams, and substitute 2 to 4 grams of L-Tryptophan for the 5-http. Tryptophan is more effective because it's converted to serotonin after it crosses the blood-brain barrier, while 5-http converts to serotonin outside the brain.

i agree, giving the body some rest and letting it return to somewhat normal is always a good thing. NEVER anything wrong with to much rest unless you preping for a show. also take in consideration what your taking supp wise, over the counter or not.
this may be an odd suggestion, but sometimes when i elevate my feet in bed it helps me fall asleep alittle quick
