sweats and thermogenesis or body temp?
my gf and i had a discussion the other day about the difference in fat burning and body temp in those that train in sweats and thsoe that dont.....
i cant find any studies on sweats raising internal body temp and thermogenesis.... as far as i understand it raises skin temp but your body is made to regulate the 98 degree area so as dave and some others do, wouldnt it be a better idea to train comfortable and leave the sweats and jackets to dropping water weight?Live Free, Train Hard

I would put the sweats on the last few weeks prior to a show to shed the excess water.

I use a sweatshirt at the beginning of my workout to get my joints an muscles warmed up quicker to prevent any type of injury. That being said, I have never seen any studies on it raising body temperature either.

yea you're def right, sweats won't change your body temperature that much to burn fat lol. Women just care to much about the scale and not about how they look. Theyll lose 5lbs of water and wonder why they don't see anything diff in the mirror. Sweats will inhibit your body to cool off i.e. sweating, the body's reaction to a rise in temp. So the hotter you get the more water your body will try to expel to cool off even though nothing will happen.

I work out in sweatpants but only because I find it more comfortable than shorts. I just don't like when my legs get cold while working out

Wearing a sweat suit (like boxers do) will induce dehydration, which will negatively affect your performance - aerobically or anaerobically!
