Marco Addis is a natural competitor in the INBA federation. He's got an odd posing style & in some ways, an odd build.

Corney was awesome. I find it interesting that in 1975 , at 44 years old no one considered his development and condition to be unique . They simply considered him another competitor . Today , 37 years later we have some masters groups starting at 35 ! ? How did that happen ? It's off topic but I don't think masters should begin until at least 50 years old . Low masters age brackets give athletes and bodybuilders an "excuse" and limit ones potential, in my opinion .
Back to Posing and presentation in general . It's definitely a lost art .

I never made my routines with a high energy style commonly seen but more with the thinking that the physique should be clearly displayed , without any distractions, so that the judges can appreciate it and judge you based on it . Just basic n simple worked for me . Here is one from 9 years ago . It was taken from VHS so quality isn't great .

Master the poses, then the transitions. Once you've done that, try to look like you're happy and confident on stage.
On a side note: stage presence suddenly improves for most people who know hands down that they're the winner. Confidence!!!!Last edited by gabe_peterson; 03-16-2012 at 06:45 AM.

Just posted to YouTube, but listed as from a 1991 NABBA show. This is much better posing.

Really if you want to win the best poser award you just need to practice your pop and lock skillz. Anytime I've seen them give out a reward at shows is to the best Dancer/pop and locker with a few poses thrown in. But that really comes down to the judges, there the ones that decide who the winners are so in turn dictate how people should be posing. Which ends up being a silly dance show in underwear. Classic posing all the way.
