got some serious growing to do, especially when you consider guys like attila and 'dido with chests 10" bigger. Hell, rick's pogo sticks are bigger than mine! I have to buckle down if I am going to be a legitimate hvy weight.

Ax, you got size and symmetry. All you lack is a couple of motorcycles in the garage!

Ax,
You got some serious feedback on your comment. You have a the size and symmetry my friend!! You are a legitimate heavyweight and you're going to prove it
in July. Doesn't mean you don't need to buckle down...we ALL do to get ready for the Big Show in Pittsburgh. That's what it's all about!!!

hahahah...how did you know? Thanks for the feedback, not trying for pity here...just always need to keep pushing, never satisfied, we all can relate to that. However, there is always going to be that freak, no matter how hard you train, sacrifice and suffer, always that sonofabitch who has it all...thus the nature of competition.
Also live in an area that is completely in the dark regarding bodybuilding. Really contemplating moving to another city, or better yet, to my wife's home country of Honduras.
I appreciate the votes of confidence...I know I am pushing harder right now that I have in any sport (football, triathlons, powerlifting or martial arts) in my life. As Rick says, if you ain't living on the edge, you are taking up too much space....I am pushing the edge EVERY workout, as we all are.
Means a great deal to have a forum where we recognize the pain and sacrifice of our peers.

Just giving myself some tough love. If I don't tell myself every day that I am puny and weak, then I might let up. That is why I am training with Big Country, the cornfed freak. I must push harder so that I WILL be noticed, if not by the judges, then by the crowd.
I have always been an intense trainer, but I have taken it to the extreme...I will grow or I will break...Jeez, no more hijacking...I will take this shit to my thread and quit cluttering...gotta go eat some cowpatties or something.

Come on, Ax...you saw me at the MN's! The fact that I was a foot taller than you didn't stick out? LOL!
And my legs look skinny even at 28" because they're four fucking feet long!
You know, I get shit only on this board about my legs, as if I don't train them hard enough or I don't know what I'm doing. For the record, and for the last time, I returned to bbing at 47 years old after a 14 year complete layoff....NO training during that time. When I started back I discovered, painfully, that I had acquired arthritis in both knees. The pain was excruciating when doing leg work. I could not squat. It took 3 years to get to 1000lbs on leg press. I tore my fucking quad tendons off both knees trying to get deep and heavy on leg press to build these unhealthy wheels up.
Now, for the naysayers who infer that since my legs are weak that I don't know shit, I'll put my upper body up against any of you wannabe mofo's any day, anytime. I'm usually a pretty easy going guy who talks straight, but I've had my fill of this leg bullshit.

Easy big fella. I don't think anyone is questioning the veracity of your knowledge and/or advice. Look how many hits and views your AAS thread has. I don't agree with everything you say, but you definately know your shit. Just looking at where you have taken your wife speaks volumes.
As far as upper body kicking "our" asses, your chest is incredible and your shoulders are excellent.
Your back..well, since we are talking straight, lacks width, in spite of incredible thickness.
And your arms are really not big enough for the size of your torso.
But hey, I suffer opposite, yet as compelling frailties...just calling it like I see it, as you do without equivocation.
I got into bodybuilding at age 42, garnered a state masters title and top 10 at masters nationals in only 2 1/2 years of training. I have put on 30lbs. of sustainable muscle in that time. While Xiomara isn't quite up to the level of Gunz, I did train her to a Open State Championship her first show and a third in her weight class at Master Nationals in her second. But hey, I'm just a wannabe mofo?
Not trying to get into a pissing contest here...guess some tension still floating about from the HDG thread...no big deal and Water under the bridge.
'nuff said by me regarding the legs...just joking, however understandable you ain't in a joking mood..you ARE a knowledgable, thick ass, strong, bow-legged old gottabe mofo! oh, damn, I mentioned the legs....lol
