How to Shrink ur waist? Since we all know how to grow it
So everyone talks mad shit on here about so and so's waistline being soooooooo huge from insulin, GH, Powerlifting, bloatiness, overdeveloped obliques and abdominals, overeating, and the list goes on..............
Who has strategies on actually shrinking ur gut/waisting?? We aren't talking about diet strategies to reduce bodyfat, but how to actually physically reduce the size of ur muscles and anatomy that contributes to that pregnant gorilla look>
Some items of interest???:
-Wearing weightbelts during all exercise
-digestive enzymes to reduce blating
-Is GH really to blame or insulin over use
-Heavy freeweight movements increasing core size
Any thoughts??!!

I can tell you it's not due to overdeveloped oblique/abdominal muscles. Anyone who knows anatomy that the abdominal wall is a "sheet" so the muscle bellies (the individual parts that make up the "eight-pack" and obliques) themselves grow, not the outer wall.
But even if you're waist grows a bit (with the lower back and all), it should still be in proportion to the rest of your body if you think about it. Unless you're just completely focusing on building your waist.
The "pregnant look" is a different story. What makes the internal organs grow is what causes the pregnant look. Dietary bloat just enhances this (why would you eat in such a way to bloat your stomach anyway?)
Notice how bodybuilders of the golden era didn't have distended bellies...some say Insulin, some say IGF...obviously growth factors are the variable

From what I've read if its from slin you just have to diet until the visceral fat goes away but that takes a long time because its the last form of fat to go

I've also heard Slin is the main "growth fasctor", your highest concentration of insulin receptors is in yoour intestines and they actually grow b4 ur muscles do from slin.... at least thats what I've hesard.....

it is not heavy moment. why dont arnold have a big gut or tom platz. he did heasy ass squats lots af rep. he had a small waist.
it is to much GH 15-30iu ed with 20+60i of slin that will give you a big gut. nothing ells just drugs an lots of anabolic

what JKB said... anything over 15ius is overkill and your gut will grow since HGH converts to IGF-1 and thats what causes the big guts since most of the receptors are located in the stomach

It is NOT due to insulin alone. If that was the case all diabetics would have that bloated look. I know quite a few people with type 1 diabetes and none have distended bellies.
I would blame GH and overeating.

It's gotta be the drugs. If a bodybuilder is very lean in bodyfat then there is no way he would have a thick bloated waist/stomach. Arnolds era and the bodybuilders from the 90's had such a awesome v-taper with tiny waists.

Dave gave an explanation about 10 years ago that I absolutely agree with. When a person exceeds a muscular bodywieght that exceeds his structure the muscles will all be rounder and bigger. Like a guy who exceeds 250lbs at 5'9 will exceed his body structure and muscle will form every where. Now that isn't explained even close to how dave put it. But look at dorian, he had a huge stomach, but now after his muscular bodywieght went below what his structure can hold his stomach is tiny now. For me my stomach grows after I exceeded 235lbs because I am tall and super narrow. I never took growth or insuling until recently and actually my stomach looks smaller. It just come down to exceeding thickness over width.

I don't know about this one. Dave is nowhere near as heavy as he used to be, but he still has a gut. That dude is shredded all the time, so that gut isn't fat.
IMO, the heavy weight lifting does not contribute to the gut, but it does make a person become blocky over time. They get a wider look, but not a distended gut. This isn't the case with all bodybuilders, but there are always exceptions to the "rule".

i really think it is all about the sheer volume of food these guys are eating, every single day for years on end. people wanna blame the drugs but no one can think it's as simple as the massive load placed on digestion and the volume of the food.

arnold was also how tall? and weighed how much? yeah thats what i thought. those guys where not eating half of what the top guys are eating today also many of them took time off from bodybuilding, including the eating, during the year whereas for the top guys nowadays that just isnt an option
