    Default how do ya know?

seems like all the people on this section are just starting out or looking for a critique. My question is wen do you guys think(or know) when your ready to compete. Sometimes i think it would be great to be on stage showing off my hard work but other times i think, would i be out of my depth, how do ye know which catagory to enter, ive seen some shows here and the 1st timers section sometimes produces the overall winner, saying that i wanna win but maybe 2nd,3rd or 4th good enough!
    looking forward to your responces

    id start with novice.

i think you need a at least a few years training under your belt, have added some good quality muscle. most people think they have more mass that what they actually have wehn dieted down. post up some pics.

If that is you in your avatar you look like you have some muscle. Post up some pics and we will let u know. Always start with the novice class then work your way up as you progress and as your placements dictate.

You'll be surprised. Dieting down and exposing the muscle will make you look bigger even though you're smaller. Why not do a mini cut and see what's under there? Diet down to maybe 10% and see how you feel about competing then.

cheers, my usual leg workout is at least 1 type of squat, front or regular, leg press, leg ext,leg curl, stiff leg deads,+ sometimes lunges. any ideas how to improve on this? each exercise is 4 sets, between 6-10 reps besides the front squat,i usually start with 10,8,5and 3 and as heavy as possible. thanks Tammy and Jude
