Can anyone explain pro figure judging?

This is for any PRO Figure Competitor or any Top National Competitor...Can you please explain to me what the judges are Judging in Figure? Bodybuilders think we gotta bad but that Figure Clasas is tough to Judge as its so many Different Shape Sizes in colors..lol...BSA couldnt be a judge for sure...They all look like Winners...I was at MS FIGURE OLYMPIA an couldnt figure it out as every body that I liked wasnt in top 5...Im no expert etc but Its a Very Competitive Class...I honestly like the looks of ALICIA HARRIS an Teresa Nicole an I had both ladies in top 5 at MS O but both didnt make it...They not to muscular but got excellent shape n symetry...I also like KAT RAMIREZ look as well...So somebody School me in this Category...Thnx

the million dollar question....7-8 yrs ago i could pick the figure winner/placings after about 3 seconds...and i was correct most of the time...now i dont even try...I think the reason you cant pick the top 5 is the same reason i cant anymore...were both BB..and we tend to go for the harder look...and its not whats in...hence the confusion....

This topic never gets old for me because I think anything with this glaring of a flaw needs to be discussed often, no matter how redundant it seems. Out of sight is out of mind...So lets keep in in mind by talking about it. The bikin division needs to present physiques that are more like the current Figure standards. The Figure division needs to then present physiques that are often criticized for being too hard. Kat Ramirez, Juliana Malacarne, Larissa Reis, just to name a few. They should carry enough muscle to almost fit the lightweight bodybuilder mold, but with less detail to soften up the body a bit and keep the sexiness. Just my 2 cents.

Nobody, not even Pro Figure judges, can explain this judging.

Listen to Steve W. try to explain Figure results on any episode that he's on Heavy Muscle Radio.

It can't be done.

Thnx guys for posting your opinions..I only asked because I recall at MS FIGURE OLYMPIA,I couldnt get the picks right at all...Then I watched at USAS an was off again...lol...This is where I wouldnt wanna be a JUDGE...I agree with BLACKIE...Im more into the harder shape physiques..But not as ripped as a bodybuilder...BSA is thinking of getting into JUDGING...

Problem is - you won't make the panel. You will score about how most every other competitor/fan would score... with the leaner/more athletic women placing higher than the softer look. The current judges would put the softer girls first. If your places vary by more than a +/-1 deviation then you won't pass the "judges exam".

Best way to learn how to judge is to learn what the judges are looking for (yes, they ARE looking for something) and then to pick the girls that they would... then, you become a judge and can start to work your way in to influencing other judges.

Sean Andros is a good guy to talk to about this. He's been to so many figure shows and has paid attention ... he can pretty much nail where the girls will place when they walk out on stage - just by how the judges trend is. THAT is what you need if you want to be a judge my man!

Big Sean, lets face it,bro. The look that you and I (and a great many other people like)isnt gonna get what it deserves. The powers that be wanna make money. To do that they need to get as many girls involved as possible. Softening it up makes it more "appealing and attainable to the average chick".
(Just my opinion, but I think I'm spot on.)

at the local level, they love the hard dry look.. at the national level.. they like fuller look.. still need to be in shape, but much fuller and rounder..

and also you being HOT helps
