Sixstar Creatine - 24g of sugar per serving
Recommended dosaage = 2 servings
That's 48g of sugar! Motherfuckers! They had the writing so small and since I got it for cheap at Walmart I figured it would just be no frills creatine. Turns out it's fucking kool-aid (tastes like it too). Damn. Should I keep taking 2 servings at a time or lower it to 1 and save on the sugar intake?

Throw it away. If you are going to shop for supplements at Wal-Mart and want Creatine, get the Joe Weider Creatine Monohydrate pills. They are like $10 for a bottle and work fairly well and relatively no sugar.

I'd just buy an SKW labs trademarked creatine:

are you on a keto diet oer something? if not don't worry about the sugar pre/post workout... it'll aid in absorption of the creatine due to the insulin spike.
finish the tub then switch to something else like straight monohydrate.

Sixstar is from the same company that makes Muscletech-Iovate.CRAP!

I'm just on low carb but this stuff also has 24g of carbs per serving. Which would jump my carbs up even more. I usually have between 40-100g of carbs a day. Was thinking of doing keto because I'm pretty much doing it now. I'd just have to adjust two things.
My brother tried some and likes the taste. So I can give it to him since he's bulking. I'd prefer to have creatine that has low sugar and carbs.
So you think I should finish it off and then switch? Or just give it to my brother to help his bulk?

Give it to your brother as it doesn't fall in line with the diet you are trying to follow...plus the other poster is right, this is just the generic version of Cell Tech as IOVATE owns sixstar muscle and muscletech.

Dave, if there is a vitamin world (not shop) near you, they sell 1000 grams of creatine mono for under $30.

I agree with other here, get creatine monhydrate and alter it to your specific needs. If you wanna add dextrose, buy some bulk for about $10 you can get 3-4 pounds. Go to a alcohol brewery, they'll sell it very cheap.

Does creatine mono have much carbs? I didn't see it listed as a supplement on the Palumbo keto diet. I really wanna cut my carbs down. I'm not gonna keto though until I stall with the diet I have now. Still losing around 2lbs a week the way I'm going right now.

Thanks. I'll use that then. Take that guy's advice earlier in the thread and look for the really cheap creatine mono at Walmart. Walmart seems to be the cheapest place here.
It worked out well giving it to my brother. I owed him $30 and he said he'd just take the creatine and consider it a deal. So that's cool.Last edited by DaveV; 03-21-2009 at 10:48 AM.

Dude, you really don't need to look for really cheap creatine. Anything that is just pure creatine mono is all extremely cheap. As far as I remember those weider pills cost way more per serving than just a regular powder. Even at a GNC you can get 200 servings of the stuff for 20 bucks.

Yeah Dave I know that is a lot of sugar but that is just the thing u need after your workout. Like another guy said it will help with the creatine absorption and replenish glycogen stores. I would only take it on workout days though and after your workout.
