Drug testing at bodybuilding shows

I was wondering why bodybuilding shows are not drug tested mandatory by the state they are held in. Like in MMA or Boxing the state commission regulates them and all other "pro" sports are subject to it. Not suggesting drug testing bodybuilders, just curious

they are not sanctioned by the state athletic commision like the other sports you mentioned, simple as that.

Thanks. Why would any sport be sactioned by the state athletic commision then? I would much rather see all sports with no testing of any sort of drugs. That would make for some real good entertainment

combat sports must be reguatled by the state commisions in order to be legal. also, you know that mma is still illegal in many states, its so dumb but thats the world we live in.

Was at a "natural" show recently... and I knew a few of the guys in the line up were not clean. I was totally disgusted because here they are, pretending to be better, bigger ...and they take away from those that dared enter a show because they believe in competing natural. I know it says the top competitors are tested ... but if they really were, then 75% of the guys (and girls) would not have shown up. It is about business but it's time to bring back intergrity and respect.
I have nothing against steriods ... how can I... but have the balls to compete in a show where the field is equal. Stop being the assholes and give the guys that want to compete natural a chance to win in NATURAL show!

Remember when the 1990 Olympia was drug tested?The most forgettable Olympia ever?A lot of competitors didn't compete,some failed the test and got disqualified and Lee Haney who won looked absolutely horrible.The WBF as well was even worse-Gary Strydom way off and some guys just came onstage just plain fat.
