What is the male fitness model look?
With Men's Physique coming into play next year, I've been thinking about something...what is the "fitness look" anyway? I mean runners have a certain build, as do swimmers, but male fitness models are not so easily distinguished.
My observation is that they are just like bodybuilders but perhaps weren't able to get as freaky big (but are still massive) and have similar proportions (maybe less freaky legs and no bloated gut) - not that they weren't trying to get freaky huge, it's just that genetics (or lack of resources) limited them.
Am I wrong to say that male fitness models are basically a mild version of bodybuilders?

Apparently it's something slightly more gay than bodybuilding. So, it's about this gay:

its going to be nearly impossible to judge. bodybuilding, figure, bikini, everyone is pretty much going for the same look. in this there are going to be skinny underwear models standing next to guys that should be in the mens open. some guys will tan some wont. some will have hairy arms and legs....some wont. how can you judge that?

"invading the bodybuilding culture took some time. but soon, physique men will sell themselves to every gay website. I imagine their assholes will be about... oh, that big."

Um... I guess I'm remembering things wrong, but aren't a lot of the "hardcore" bodybuilders already in front of the camera on the gay websites to pay the bills?
And aren't the "male model" guys in magazines/tv shows/commercials/music videos/movies to pay the bills?
I mean, people can suck and fuck who/whatever they want, no difference to me.
But I keep hearing this grapefruit story...

People make these gay jokes and all, but they are not that far off. I will tell you this... they are less concerned with symmetry and such. I was offered free pictures by photographer who had a pretty large portfolio. I turned them down because the pictures I was asked to do were borderline male porn. This was 3-4 years ago that I turned that down. Maybe I would be getting regular work if I had gone through with it? It was just too gay and I said no though.

maybe I'm just slow but I just don't get how any of this makes someone gay. They are still going to have to show up in shape with definition, nobody is saying these guys should show up out of shape or fat or smooth. How does being a little smaller but still ripped make them gay? thats like saying anyone who does not look like Jay or ronnie is gay. So basically every athlete in pro sports and every BBer not in the top 5 at the Mr. O is gay. Ok I guess I've got it now.
