Hi Dr.Human was wondering if you could view the abnormalities in my bloodwork and tell me what you think. Ive been off cycle for 14 weeks dont think i plan on ever going back on. I recently added more healthy fat into my diet to try to get my hdl up which always seemed to be around 40. Well it worked but my ldl seems a touch high now. Here is the results.
HDL-58
LDL direct-107 HI
LDL/HDL ratio 1.84 (normal)
Triglycerides-58
Total Cholesterol-169
LIPOPROT.(LDL) direct 1387 hi
Are these numbers anything to worry about? do i need medicine or to adjust me diet?
Also
my total testosterone was a low 261 is there a way to boost this with meds other than exogenous testosterone?
thanks in advance

Provo,
I have no concerns with any of your cholesterol levels. I think they all look great, including your ldl and hdl.
Your testosterone should be higher. I would shoot for 600-800 or higher. Outside of prescription meds, there are boosters like DHEA, Tribulus, etc. Meds do not always mean testosterone replacement. You can use Arimidex, Femara, HCG, etc to boost testosterone levels.

good to hear dr. tony! After posting i went and visited the physicians assistant at my drs office. he is treating the low test w 350 units of hcg 3 times per week along w 50 mgs of dhea daily. His logic seemed to make sense to me. Do you think 600-800 is a feasible goal. i dont know if youd find this interesting but somehow i actually have maintained a decent physique with such a low test level. im still lean w relatively deep quad separation and abs(not shredded but still) and im gaining strength every week i can only imagine how id feel with a level of 800. Sex drive ok but would like it much much higher lol. Thanks for being thorough and honest as always doctor t

Fasting really only effects triglyceride levels. So, no worries. And eating has absolutely no effect on Testosterone levels.
In answer to your other post. 600-800 is feasible and attainable. I am not sure how feasible and attainable from just dhea and hcg. Give it a go. And no, not surprising that you have built a good physique with low T. It effects every guy differently. Looking at some very muscular young men, I would not expect it, but yet sometimes it's there.
Good luck.

Hey Doc what are your plans for competition this year? We need to get more people posting medical questions since your answers are so straightforward this could be a great place to learn for all of us. If theres anything i can do to help facillitate this please let me know.

Hey Doc,
Shoulder has been in pain for going on three weeks now. I'm not sure if its muscle pain or a rotator cuff? I can't lift my arm straight up as if I am raising my arm to ask a question. I have been doing my best not to do anything that makes it hurt thinking it would get better after two weeks but it's still about the same. Is there anything that would indicate if its just muscle repairing from lifting heavy or a rotator cuff?

Dr. Human,
I have a couple questions about your practice. Could I send you a PM or do you prefer it to be posted here?
