Default Two quick offseason shots.. 22 yrs old 5'8 235-240ish

Sorry for the **** quality... will get better pics monday with my digital camera. Sitting around 237 or so right now.

this pic, upper body super flat and quads look like poop after legs but are pumped

probably gonna do collegiate nationals again next year...

Honest opinions.. should I do Jr. Nationals as a Light Heavy? I honestly don't expect to win the overall or anything like that.. I would be very happy with top 10. I am going to make 1000% sure I am in SHAPE this year. Not sure who I will hire yet for my diet. I figure it would be good to get some exposure at the national level and its close to collegiates.

If you can finally nail your conditioning I say go for it. See how you do at Collegiates then decide on a Jr level show. You will need to be quite a bit tighter than you have ever been to crack top 10 at a Jr National caliber show. But it can be done.

So far i think you are doing well adding size and staying in striking distance so that is good.

    Good Luck Matt.

Thanks Jason.. yea I honestly wouldn't even step on stage there unless I had striated glutes. It sucks, because I thought about doing Jr. USAs after Collegiates depending how I did, but they moved that back to May. I honestly probably wouldn't make a decision until about 4 weeks out. I will start dieting 16 weeks most likely from the Jr. show.

Worst comes to worst I would just do a small show then go into collegiates. I refuse to let myself get too fat this year. My appetite kinda sucks so surprisingly that is helping more than hurting lol.

I think if you are in your current condition then 16 weeks is fine. I personally like 20 weeks, lets me get into the groove and see what my body is actually liking. I play with things that first 4 weeks find a groove then roll with it. Especially where conditioning has been an issue in the past, just a suggestion.

BTW, I firmly believe striated glutes are the result of hard work and determination not genetics as some like to say. Stay lean start your diet early and YOU WILL have them. Not if, you have them. Set the goal and make it happen.

Yea, I definitely do not plan on gaining any more body fat before I diet. My calorie intake has been clean and nothing outrageous(like in the years past). Without a doubt my goal is conditioning, because that was always my problem. I wouldnt even care if I had to diet it 24 weeks to get into shape, I am willing to do anything and eat anything now to get to that point.

You look great, just add more mass overall.

Can't see any glaring weak points.

What was your highest offseason weight before?
    What is your training style?

bahaha im embarrassed to say two years ago I reached just above 250, but was a complete fat ass.. i thought weight=muscle. Young and dumb. Last year I was about the same weight as i am now, but not as lean.

Right now I am doing DC and making some of the best gains of my life.
