It IS stupid...but you can see why they ask it in the business were in. I've been asked it many times myself...
Any of the examples you gave would be out of left field to ask...the question might be, "So, do you date girls who also ride competitively?"
Or...So, do you date female lawyers?
They ask us that because were in the body buisness, and FBB have a stigma out there in "normal land"....so their natural questioning is akin to whether or not we like that as well, as we're also bodybuilders...
It's a natural curiosity for them...

Ouch.
Words that may come back to haunt you.
And I don't know about Amazon, but I was disappointed in the manner in which you seemingly shit all over the bigger female competitors. You allowed your dislike of that one user on MD to spiral into a lot of negative and unnecessarily rude commentary about FBB as a division and the women who train for size and freaky conditioning.

a. When you clean up and talk about the gay porn, then you can point at the females next, unless you are a bigot.
b. You did imply, I read and re-read your comments and the use of the term "phasing out" before I brought it up. I am not one to jump the gun without research.
c. Engaging in "turd" comments is unnessasary and tastless. Some things are best ignored and in your position, you should know this.
Spin it how you want, but your words took a lot of days for others to clear up.
If I was you, I would start ignoring me

PLEASE.....what goes on in FBB isnt even in the same hemisphere as anything else...its one of the things that has led to where it is today...
Again...I didnt have to imply anything...I said it straight to the point. Perhaps reading it wasnt the problem...COMPREHENSION should be what you're looking for next
I'l be happy to ignore you, as per your request, as you're lending nothing of value to this thread or discussion...

"As I get older, and hopefully wiser I have always been concerned about the message we are sending to the young women coming up in the sport of female bodybuilding." - Betty Pariso
This statement has the greatest impact and yet none of the other women seem to care or have bothered to address this with a comment. The message that has been sent is negative and precisely why our numbers have plummeted.

TO be honest I don't think the numbers, specifically in female body building have ever been that high in order to "plummet". There are very high barriers to entry to begin with. I worry about the message of some of the more 'informal' bikini competitors giving "the young women coming up in the sport" that the goal is to act like a ho on stage & get the guys to catcall cuz that's what its all about.
Its the nature of the beast (or the bitch if you prefer) being female in a male-dominant society. This shit will always be an underlying skew to almost anything we attempt to excel at and present to the world for consumption.

Wow. I think we have a case of two women who are polar opposites. Because when I throw on a bikini (or a blinged out two piece) I don't see myself strutting around like a ho. It doesn't matter if one person is watching or thousands, whether I am on a beach, in a dance competition, swinging on a pole or in a physique competition. If my body is the selling point then I'm gonna work it to the max. Don't matter if you ask me to flex, walk it back or drop it like it's hot. My name doesn't change. Only the game.

You've already learned "stage protocol". Granted not everyone had a coach or someone to show them "stage protocol" at their first show, but w/ Bikini and its lack of formal posing requirements, I've seen more than a few girls interpret that as "time to strut" and "time to strut" becomes one step short of "time to work it and make a few bucks, preferably $20's".
Just sayin' - if you don't know what is expected and you get up there, the intent can get lost. The environment is hot girls in bikinis and the crowd responding w/ cat calls to the "sexy ones", so some may interpret that as "ho time" cuz that's what appears to be getting the attention. Some people make the wrong interpretation if they have no other context to draw from.
