The muscle fibers used during distance running, when trained over time, do not become bigger; rather they become more oxygen effecient and increase the body's usage of fat-oxidative enzymes.according to the interview, Because he did it for so long, he believes this is a significant part of the reason he stays so lean. This is corroborated by the fact that he is constantly hot;as heat energy dissipation is a by-product of fat oxidation.

I'm paraphrasing of course, but it's all in the interview in one of (or perhaps the very) first appearances on off topic.
are you kidding you really believe in this bullshit???i remember listening to that show when dave started acting like he is a scientist looool!what about soccer players who are now retired but in competitive days the ran 10 km a day and now are fat-theres no secret but ONLY 1 FACT-if you eat above your maintance calories you`ll get fat!it`s impossible that someone has a basal metabolism of 2000calories and the other one with the same weight has 6000calories-THAT`S IMPOSSIBLE!!!it`s the diet that keeps him lean

This is the best thread ever. I love all the reasons Dave is so lean. You guys are the best.

I'm sticking with Liposuction though. It's the only scentifical reason that makes sense. Combine that with the shake weight and 5 min a day on the abdominizer and it's shredded glutes all year round.

Perhaps his early years as a marathon runner has something to do with it.

I can't understand why so many aren't believing this is plausible, it certainly makes the most sense to me.
