Default contrary to popular myth, ANADROL DOES NOT AROMATIZE.

    anadrol.jpg

Anadrol is a DHT derivative. DHT derivatives generally do not aromatize. also, in the following post, the metabolites of anadrol are examined, and there ARE NO AROMATIZED METABOLITES. Further, it is noted in the text that anadrol binds cytochrome p450 (aromatase) but does not get converted to the aromatized (estrogen) form.

    Review of oxymetholone: a 17alpha-alkylated anabolic-androgenic steroid.

Pavlatos AM, Fultz O, Monberg MJ, Vootkur A, Pharmd.
Northside Family Medicine, Chicago, Illinois 60659-4120, USA.
BACKGROUND: Oxymetholone (17beta-hydroxy-2-[hydroxymethylene]-17-methyl-5alpha-androstan-3-one) is a 17alpha-alkylated anabolic-androgenic steroid and a synthetic derivative of testosterone. It has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of anemias caused by deficient red cell production. OBJECTIVES: This review summarizes the pharmacokinetics, current and future clinical applications, and adverse effects of oxymetholone. Relevant studies were identified using a search of MEDLINE through March 2001, supplemented by conference abstracts and presentations. RESULTS: Because of its anabolic properties, oxymetholone has been studied for the treatment of HIV-associated wasting, antithrombin III deficiency, pediatric growth impairment, and damaged myocardium, with varying degrees of success. Hepatotoxicity is a major adverse effect associated with the use of oxymetholone, with cholestatic jaundice the most important hepatic side effect. Less common hepatic side effects associated with the use of anabolic-androgenic steroids include peliosis hepatis and formation of hepatic tumors. All anabolic-androgenic steroids can cause androgenic side effects, including acne, hirsutism, hair loss, clitoral/phallic enlargement, vocal changes, erectile tissue stimulation, gynecomastia, amenorrhea, and changes in libido and sexual potency. CONCLUSIONS: As is the case with many anabolic-androgenic steroids, few pharmacokinetic and tolerability studies were performed before oxymetholone's approval in the 1960s. It has proved, however, to be an appropriate treatment choice for selected patients with anemia, if carefully monitored.

the point of this is that anadrol DOES have estrogenic side effects, but they are not mediated by estrogen metabolites, as is generally the case with other steroids.

instead, either anadrol itself, or it's non-estrogen metabolites, mediates the estrogenic effects.

So dont bother using an aromatase inhibitor to kill the estrogen effects of anadrol. it won't work.

Use an anti-estrogen instead; like tamoxifen.

Hey Dr P. I got a small dime size deposit of gyno off of 600mg test and 30mg dianabol(10 week cycle last 4 weeks added dbol) I am thinking of trying Anadrol tho net cycle even though I had estrogenic effects from my previous cycle. I have asked this question before but no one even came close to giving me the answer I was looking for. This thread seems appropriate enough to ask and you're one of the people who's advice I'd take more seriously. If one were to run say
Test Prop 100mg ED for 8 weeks
Anadrol 50mg ED for the last 4 weeks

What do you think of adding Proviron at around 50mg ED be of any use to stop estrogenic effects(anadrol) of the and free up bound test while not inhibiting gains?

proviron acts on estrogen as well. It apparently also binds aromatase and by doing so, prevents estrogen formation.

Unfortunately, since oxymetholone also binds aromatase, all you'll be doing is displacing it (and Test) and allowing more oxymetholone to mediate estrogenic effects.

If you're going to use Test with the anadrol, i would either use arimidex and tamoxifen or tamoxifen only. Proviron will just exacerbate the estrogenic effects of anadrol.

Alright, I understand. Thank you for your information.

Better yet, brother, go ask Lewellyn in his new q&a if you should take an aromatase inhibitor to block the estrogenic effects of anadrol.

Llewellyn has written about this briefly in his books and totally agrees with this science. Good stuff man!
