Perfect timing on this thread. My membership is about to expire at my current gym, it has become inundated with people, and inconsiderate ones at that! So, i have been checking out all the gyms in the area, man how depressing

Dave, IRON ASYLUM GYM is opening soon in Cleveland,Ohio.
The place is as no frills as it gets...
Anyone visiting the Cleveland Area should stop in.

"Reading rooms" -- why do u need those when you have all the weight machines to sit & read on? LOL a guy at my Gold's commented about how at the 24 Hr Fitness up the road, people brought magazines & books w/ them during their workouts.

A few weeks ago they took out the plate loaded Power Squat machine from my Gold's gym & replaced it w/ this pulley-driven squat machine that no one uses, and it appears that it will fuck you up if you use any sort of heavy weight on it.. it just doesnt' fit anyone and starts the weight range at a bad spot. And then they replaced a bunch of other eqpt w/ more cable stuff. That night I had a dream about all the muscle heads (only a handful of us) cancelling our gym memberships & pooling the money to buy a couple of squat cages, bars & plates to put in some warehouse space one of the guys had. Back to basics...

The bottom line is $$$$. Gym Owners don't make money off of hardcore guys that know what they are doing. They make money off of all the spin classes and personal training.

My gym is hardcore all the way out,always dusty,no fancy modeern machines and no fags .
And it is always a pleasure to go there,in your old shirt,knowing that you can get dirt accidentially with grease ,or the floor is not necesarry clinically clean

I just love this shit.

And actually for same price ,also close tomy hoem i have super fancy gym,but damn,it is full of fags and pussies that weigh no more then 60 kg,but walk like they were 150kg bodybuilder,and no climate

Oooohhhhh yes. I bought Mike Bell's powerlifting videos from the Westside site. Their gym is all iron from Elite Fitness Systems packed into an single unit in a California industrial plaza. Heavy iron, loud music, friendship = good times!

I recently quit the local YMCA because they took out a great freeweight hack squat and put in this bizarre leg press that fits no one. Load it up with your warm-up weight and you get the feeling that the seat will rip right out of the damn thing if the squeeking it lets off is anything to go by...

I joined a local metal head gym with a cage. I live in that damn cage.
