    Thursday 12/14 upper body training

    THIS WAS A GREAT DAY OF TRAINING!!!!!

    dynamic warmup

    Face pulls:
    30 x 12
    40 x 12
    3 x 50 x 12, pausing the even reps with a hard 1-sec squeeze

    Bench press (competition style, pause bottom and top each rep, reset shoulders, repeat):
    bar x 5
    65 x 5
    85 x 5
    105 x 5
    116 x 5 - felt super easy peasy so I went up from my planned 124 to 127
    5 x 127 x 5 with 2-count pauses, all sets/reps went BEAUTIFULLY! And a self liftoff too!

    Wide grip pullups:
    3 x BW+25 x 5 - Dropped the weight down to work on pausing top/bottom

    Seated Y press ss Smith wide grip upright rows:
    25s x 8 ss +40 x 8

    Leaning DB lateral raise:
    3 x 20 x 12/side

    60 min walk at home

    We can't expect good days every day, but they're great to have. I tracked my days for eight years from 1982 to 1989 when I was working on my dissertation. I rated each day as "off today," "poor," "okay," "not bad," "good," or "very good." In seven years, I had only six weeks of "good" or "very good" days. Those were the days I actually wrote my dissertation. But everything else (even "off today") contributed to finishing it.

    speakin' of havin' bad workout day and good workout days. i rearly have a bad workout day. if i do i don't let my hubby know bout it., lol. and yesterday i had a great workout day too.
