Forgot to mention that while I was training a fossil-aged powerlifter friend asked me to take pics of him nailing a 700-lb rack pull...and at 67 years old! It was awesome to watch!
So between him, my girl with the 50s x 2, and me all hitting PRs we also succeeded in chasing all the resolutioners out of the weight area and onto the cardio equipment.2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

That's what I thought when my fossil friend pulled that yesterday and with pics to prove it. If it's any consolation he had Versa Grips. Oh, and that was the ONLY movement he did yesterday. Bypassed the rest of his workout. Bet he'll take off today and I won't see him again until tomorrow.
No doubt about it, it WAS one impressive lift. I've not seen anyone else in my gym attempt it, though there are many younger ones who could. Personally I'm more impressed at someone who pulls 600 for reps and still has enough in the tank to kill it for another 45-60 minutes, then come back the next day and murder another body part. Rinse and repeat week after week.2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

Sitting at the orthodontist with my oldest, wishing I could write up today's workout. But it will have to wait. Ya think I'm excited about it?!
To my kids' school nurse:
I am indebted to you. Thank you for going nine rounds with me and my pediatrician's and dentist's offices and quoting us county policy that requires you to be such a *****. Because of you I'm now on a first name basis with every doctor and dentist who cares for my children. And you managed to get me so fired up it fueled the best arm workout I've had in my entire life. No pre-workout needed.
Please let's chat again soon!2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

Argh! Tried to write this. Accidentally hit submit. No numbers just exercises. Ugh. Will have to wait. :-(

Friday...arms
Once again, I'd like to thank my kids' school nurse who inspired this workout. I went toe to toe with her nine rounds, took nearly two hours going back and forth.
Walked in the gym and saw some friendly faces, told them I was half tempted to hit a PR on every exercise I was so fired up. They dared me. Result: I was too tired to walk into the school and choke the nurse. In fact, I'm so tired hours after that workout that I'm still having trouble lifting my arms!
Skipped the regular warmup. Was already overheated.
Pinwheel curls:
2 warms
20s x 12
25s x 10
30s x 8 PR!
25s x 12 PR for reps I think
Rope pressdown:
2 warms
25 x 12
30 x 12
35 x 12
42.5 x 12 PR!
Standing bb curl:
35 x 10
45 x 10
55 x 10 PR!
45 x 10
Close grip bb press:
45 x 15
65 x 12
95 x 10
105 x 10
115 x 9 PR for reps
Incline DB curls:
15s x 8
17.5s x 8
20s x 8
25s x 8 PR!
Seated overhead DB ext.:
40 x 12
45 x 12
50 x 12
60 x 12 PR for reps
No cardio.
