    Wednesday 7/19 upper body training

    dynamic warmup

    Face pulls:
    3 x 70 x 12, pausing the even reps with a hard 1-sec squeeze

    Bench press (competition style, pause bottom and top each rep, reset shoulders, repeat):
    bar x 5
    65 x 5
    85 x 5
    105 x 5
    5 x 115 x 5 - solid! Very happy with these!

    Neutral grip pullups:
    5 x BW+22.5 x 5 - up another set from last week

    Reverse grip bb rows:
    4 x 135 x 8

    Meadows rows:
    4 x +40 x 8/side

    30 min walk

    Thursday 7/20 lower body training

    Kids had their end of summer swim season picnic last night so everyone slept in this morning. Got to the gym about 2 hours behind schedule. Oh well. Still accomplished some work.

    Dynamic warmup

    Had to wait a loooong time for a squat rack.

    DB lying leg curl:
    3 x 30 x 10

    Squats:
    bar x 5
    75 x 5
    95 x 5
    115 x 5
    135 x 5
    4 x 140 x 5 - would have done 5 but the skin on my back was done with low bar squats lol

    Sumo deads:
    135 x 1
    155 x 1
    175 x 1
    10 x 188 x 1 - with 30 sec rests. 10# over last week but it wasn't as easy as I had hoped.

    Friday 7/21 upper body training

    dynamic warmup

    Bench press (competition style, pause bottom/top, reset shoulders, repeat):
    Bar x 5
    65 x 5
    85 x 5
    105 x 5
    115 x 3
    125 x 3
    3 x 132 x 3 - first set was nice, sets 2 and 3 the last rep was slower than I would have liked. Had planned 4 sets but stopped there so I didn't grind myself into the ground LOL.
    3 x 132 x 6 - with SlingShot for some extra volume. All these were solid as I had hoped they would be.

    Chins:
    5 x +22.5 x 5 - added another set from last week

    Close grip bench ss incline DB curl:
    85 x 8 ss 20s x 8 (3 rounds)
    Close grip up 10# from last week and curls up 5# from last week WOOOO!

    Planning a 30 min walk at home after an errand.

    I woke up this morning to my phone alarm as usual. Shut off the alarm, got dressed, picked up my phone annnnd.... phone was completely dead. :-( So now that I got the kids settled with their lunch, I'm off to the store to get a new phone and THEN I'll do my walk. Love technology.

    So yeah, my mom is visiting and was here over the weekend for the kids' swim championships. I got up very early this morning just so I could get in my training and back BEFORE the kids got up. Not so. Grandma wanted to visit. :-/ And visit. And visit.
    I got to the gym at NOON. Had to take the kids to the doc after lunch so I had just enough time to feed them and get back out of the house. Ugh. She left this afternoon so at least I can hope for a better rest of the week. Was nice having her here other than missing my training.
