Well I would've bought her dinner when I went up to hang w/ her last summer, but she was dieting and couldn't have it. So I had it instead!

Yeah, I know just what you mean - at least now I do. I forgot it Monday and put it in my bag for Tuesday. Had I known what I was missing, I definitely would've turned around on Monday to get it.
I did forget my stopwatch, though, which sucked. I borrowed my trainer's since he wasn't training anyone today, but it's not the same as having my watch on my arm. I like having it to keep my rhythm from one set to another.
Thanks about the workouts. Even though they haven't changed that much over the last few months, it seems my connection with each muscle group IS changing, which is fan-tabulous! If this continues, I may have to throw my hat into the competition ring sooner rather than later. Now if I could just find a coach! Don't think I could bring myself through those last 4 weeks on my own.2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

What did you do before an ipod?? I don't know what I'd do without my mp3 player! Sometimes I bring my headphones into the office so I can listen to HMR... and a few times I left them there and didn't realize it until I got to the gym that night. Ughhhh, what misery! And since the gym music is more like elevator music, it's pretty damn painful to not have my own tunes blasting during training.
Glad to hear you had such a great leg day!!"The gym is one of life's best arenas for building the toughest of men. Not because you learn to experience success, but because you've been forced to accept failure and identify your flaws."

Steph, I truly have no idea HOW I lasted so long without one. I got my husband a nano for a gift when they had just hit the stores, the 8 gig one. He got me the latest 16 gig with the touch screen, etc. He's the gadget guy and so it just seemed fitting. I was so lonely for grown-up conversation when I got back into the gym a year ago that I just didn't care to hear music, just another adult voice to talk with about anything other than little kid issues. So I guess I finally got my fill of people making small talk and asking me what it is I'm doing and do I compete and mistaking me for one of the trainers, etc.
And by the way, the top of the line docking station that he got me to go with the iPod really kicks butt too!2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

Yep, that was me too, LOL! Walkman all the way from high school to college to grad school, through every pregnancy, even 5 years ago training for my half marathon. Never again. I am a happy iPod convert!

I just got a new iPod. Well, not new...my training partner donated it to the cause. She had an extra.
And I still have that Walkman. You guys with the huge sponsor ads in your signatures make reading the forums annoying.

Yeah, I'll still hang onto my dinosaur walkman for nostalgic purposes. Nice to show my kids what we used to cart around in the "olden days"!

My quads are already starting to feel like jello. I am already starting to dread the first trip to the toilet tomorrow morning. Can anyone say, "free fall"?!
