Monday...chest and shoulders
Kids had the day off from school. Sucked for me as my gym time was ultra-limited. And since schools were out the gym was ridiculously crowded with everyone training chest it seemed. I did what I could.
Dynamic stretching and some band work (my planned warmup at the meet)
Had to wait for a beanch GRRRRRRR!!!
Flat bench:
Bar x 8
65 x 5
85 x 3
95 x 2
105 x 1
110 x 1 - planned opener
115 x 1 - planned attempt #2
120 x 1 - planned attempt #3
I had about 10 minutes left:
shoulder circuit...3 sets, no rest between exercises/sets
Over & back press 45 x 8
Reverse DB fly 20s x 8
Leaning DB lateral raise 25 x 8 each side
Had zero time left for cardio.
Brought the kids back at night for swim team practice and knocked out 30 minutes on the elliptical. Not ideal but better than not at all.
Got back to pick up the kids and found out my son was misbehaving by clocking people with his kickboard. Ugh. This is why I need to stand ON the pool deck during practice.2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

Tuesday...legs
Nick Tumminello's lower body warmup plus some chiro-prescribed mobility work
DB lying leg curl:
30 x 10
35 x 10
1 x 40 x 10
I get ready to do the next set and a senior woman I know comes over to say hi and starts talking my ear off as if we're having coffee together. Each time I tried to excuse myself to get back to work she looked at me like I just kicked her puppy and/or told me I looked just fine and didn't need to work so hard and/or why didn't I make more of an effort to try to "work out" with my husband by just talking a leisurely stroll around the block. (aaaaaah!!!!!) Finally I got borderline-rude with her and told her I needed to finish before it was time to pick up my kid.
30 minutes later I knocked out the other 3 x 40 x 10
Smith split squats:
15 x 12 each leg
25 x 12
3 x 35 x 12
Smith duck squats:
3 x 65 x 8
Good mornings:
4 x bar x 12
Leg press:
2 pps x 10 feet low & close, ss 10 calf raises, repeat once more for a total of 20 reps each (3 sets)

Wednesday...rehab and a little bench practice
This is it, my last bit of training until the meet. I started overwatering today. Not going too crazy, just want to drop a little more to make sure this weight class is a slam dunk.
Ran through my pre-meet warmup and timed it
Flat bench:
(Set a timer so I have an idea of the time I'll need to warm up)
bar x 8
65 x 5
85 x 3
95 x 2
105 x 1
110 x 1 - planned opener. Called my faithful PL friend to give me the handoff and call the commands. Went up beautifully, no hiccups. He saud he couldn't see a thing wrong with it. Stopped there, didn't want to jinx it.
Finished with 30 minutes on the elliptical.
Soaked in a hot epsom salt bath for 30 minutes when I got home.
I'll train abs a bit tomorrow along with some mobility work and one last cardio session to sweat off some nerves, then I rest up. Gulp. Butterflies!2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

Woot! I'm as ready as I'm gonna be. Running this week quasi-peak week like I would for a bbing show. Lotsa rest the next few days. I doubt I will have any prob making the 114 lb weight class with just a touch of overwatering. Whew! Thought it might have been an issue because my bathroom scale is waaaay off.
