I've visited/lurked years ago and I check back from time to time to see if the atmosphere has changed. Sadly your getbig friends aren't very supportive of women, typical of what I've seen on other hardcore sites. :-( It's how I ended up here in the first place. It's the only site I could find where members trained hard and that was supportive of women/moms (that wasn't an all-female site that is).

I went 8/9 in my first full meet that happened 2 weeks ago. Numbers:
160 sq (not easy with a busted hip and back)
132 bp
226 dl
total 518 at a BW of 109 (49.45 kg). the lightest and I believe the oldest one on the platform. At least I'm certain I was the oldest woman competing that day. Not sure about the men.
Goals:
9/9 without skimping on challenging attempts
open with my last meet's 3rd attempts or better
hit a nifty DL PR on the platform
that's all LOL
in the 6 months after my first meet I added 20 lbs to my bench. Another offseason like that would be totally doable, not to mention awesome because it would be very close to Sioux-z Hartwig Gary's raw bench.Last edited by Sunnyday; 03-20-2016 at 05:09 PM.

Monday 3/21 upper body training
First thing this am:
20 cat-camels at fast pace
20 McKenzie pushups at fast pace
full BW squat wit 30 sec hold at bottom
40 seated arm circles in each direction
25 elbow curls
3x20 kneeling ankle squeeze
20 supine foot rotation in each direction per foot
20 supine point/flex per foot
Warmup at gym:
10 frog stretches with a few reps internal rotation to each side
10 prying pushups
20 arm crossovers (10/side)
20 over & back banded stretch
20 band pull-aparts
20 kettlebell halos (10 each direction with 18#)
Got to test out my new fraction plates!
Bench press: (each rep paused 2 sec, press to lockout, reset shoulders at top, repeat)
bar x 5
65 x 5
85 x 5
3 x 107.5 x 4
^this was a whole lot easier making a 2.5-lb jump than 5-lb!
Overhead press:
bar x 5
65 x 5
3 x 75 x 4
Wide grip pullups:
3 x +12.5 x 5 PR!
Reverse DB fly:
3 x 15s x 10
Leaning DB lateral raise:
3 x 25 x 10/side
