My lil girl age 7 on the starting block. She's sooo ready to rock it!!

Annnd her "dive" that she calls her cannonball dive LOL!! We keep trying to straighten it out but even with that pathetic dive she's still seeded among the top in this region (Michael Phelps territory)

At my lil girl's swim championships today and tomorrow. If you were following along last year this time you'll recall the pics I posted of the fancy-scmancy private school AND THEIR BANGIN' WEIGHT ROOM! Oh, people, wish you could all be here to see this cuz THEY GOT TONS OF NEW TOYS IN THE WEIGHT ROOM!!! Pics are a little blurry but even with the blur it looks cool! All the orange stuff and the colored plates are new since last year.

Same here, Cook! Yeah these kids are lucky all right. Their parents are shelling out around $30K/year for these ammenities. And with all these tools at your fingertips, there truly is NO EXCUSE to not excel at whatever your "thing" may be!

this info becomes important for us parents when all the swimmers look alike.

my girl is seeded top-10 in every event and awards for top10 placings

Info on my arm translates to...
100 yard breaststroke
50 yard backstroke
25 yard breaststroke
100 yard freestyle

She has 5 more events tomorrow.

Meanwhile, my 9-y.o. son (not swimming today) just broke the 4 BILLION barrier playing Lego Star Wars.

Update on the weight room. I took a break and went for a walk around the building and took a closer look. It appears that weight room update could really be a pussification and if so I am upset. First, more cardio equipment. But besides that, those 3 nifty deadlift platforms are missing, along with the chalk bins, PR board, AND ALL THE ICARIAN MACHINES (replaced with Life Fitness). No more v-squat, hack, badass leg press, Smiths...WTF?!

Am I wrong to think that Icarian anything >>> Life Fitness??

So I talked to the security guard. Yeah, they replaced all the Icarian equipment with LF. The good news is the school put an addition onto the building BEHIND this weight room (other side of mirrors behind the squat racks) so there is a separate deadlifting ROOM where the chalk can fly. Mmmmk. Still borderline pussified but not completely pussified.

Two best times for my girl. Very proud of her that she did flip turns on her 100 freestyle, in addition to her best times! We didn't stick around for awards as all they do is announce names and give the awards to the coaches on Sunday. Back at it tomorrow!

Athletes in our household get to pick the cheat meal. She wanted fresh veggies, fruit salad, and mommy's Hawaiian pizza. I made supreme for the grownups. :-)
