6 OXO on Fox News
Obviously, this news report is a bunch of hype, but it alleges that 6OXO contains androstenedione, a test precursor that didn't seem to have any significant performancing enhancing effect.

It is amazing what the media does to discourage people. Hell, if they said "In recent studies, ice cream is more likely to help you lose weight" there would not be any milk nor ice cream on the shelves. They really need a checkup.

It also helps give people false ideas that suppliments and steroids are all in the same, I can remember several occasions of my Animal Pak supps being mistaken for steroids when I was in HS, these reports will just help the crusade against bodybuilding and fitness, if only they would report more often what is in the fast food people eat and all the other crap out their, i'm sure a serving of 6oxo is alot less worse for ya then a big mac and frys a day. Not defending steroids, but come on...

The news report was accurate. They took the products to a lab and found that they tested positive for androstenodione which was not listed on the label.
It may not make a difference to you but some poor kid could lose their scholarship or be labeled a cheater because they tested positive for anabolic steroid because they used 6-OXO.
Supplement companies need to exercise some responsibility and put people before profits.
The report was valid and they shouldn't be demonized for doing their job especially when ingo like that could save someones career

Well, 6-oxo will produce metabolites that are the same as those produced by andro if I remember correctly, so it's entirely possible that the lab just misinterpreted the results since the two compounds are similar.

Not sure if its Patrick Arnold who said it--but the argument is that 6oxo and andro create a similar metabolite in the body. Neither will help the serious BB much and the problem is the media overreaction.
