Dissolving Creatine & BCAAs
Ive recently started mixing my Creatine Mono and BCAAs in warm to hot water so that they fully disolve. I have read articles from Will Brinks that say Creatine will only fully absorb into the body if completely dissolved.
But at what tempt will CM and BCAAs start to denature?
Maximum time both products are left in solution is less then 2hours, aparantly this will not affect the CM. But what about BCAAs?Last edited by dbyrneryan; 01-06-2011 at 10:10 AM. Reason: Spelling Mistake

BCAAs won't denature unless you heat them. Use this as an example, if you put egg whites in a cup in the fridge they don't denature. If you put egg white in hot water it doesn't denature. If you fry an egg the albumin(sp?) denatures. So unless you plan on frying you bcaas...
Creatine mon. is a different story. I don't know the exact time it takes creatine mon. to breakdown but creatine mon. will break down in water rather quickly. I've read articles based on 'studies' saying everything from 30 seconds to 6-8 hours. I've also read that heat can break down creatine mon. so things like leaving it in your car on a hot day will affect it. But honestly, creatine mon. is the cheapest (and I'm sure the most knocked off) kind so I'd just take it in regular water and deal with the slight chalkiness.
