The Rock has rolled back into World Wrestling Entertainment after almost a decade in the Hollywood hills.
On Monday night's episode of "WWE Raw," the 38-year-old wrestling champion and star of "The Scorpion King" was announced as the first host of Wrestlemania in its 27th year.
After the lights dimmed on the show's stage, the crowd went wild as The Rock – real name Dwayne Johnson – walked out and said his signature line, "If you smell what the Rock is cooking!!!"
Wearing sunglasses and a shirt reading "I Bring It," Johnson walked across the stage staring out at the audience, before stepping into the ring for the first time in seven years.
"Finally, the Rock has come back home!" he yelled.
Johnson left professional wrestling in 2004 -- making his last appearance at WrestleMania XX -- for the movies. He has since appeared in blockbusters like "Walking Tall," "Gridiron Gang," and "The Other Guys."
On "Raw" Monday, he claimed that he was "never, ever" leaving the WWE again, issuing a valentine to his fans.
"You helped me accomplish my dreams because you never left my side," Johnson said. "Thank you, I love you!"
The Rock also issued a smack down of the current WWE champion, The Miz, as well as John Cena.
"Time to electrify!" he tweeted after the show.
WrestleMania XXVI will be held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga., on April 3.

- The Rock has been added to WWE's Alumni section as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
From Devin Cutting: While the USA Network opted to stop censoring the word "ass" on Johnson's promo last night, The Score in Canada bleeped every mention.
- Tickets for WWE's Summerslam pay-per-view are scheduled to go on sale at 10AM Pacific time today.

Is he gonna fight cena at wrestlemania?
Hope cena beats his ass haha. Serves him right for starring in shitty movies about hockey-playing tooth faries!! Say what you want about Cena, he didn't snub the WWE for hollywood! Although his new character kinda sucks, the old school freestyle cena character>>>>the rock.

Naw...just a face off...and eventually dont think it will go anywhere...They're just trying to HYPE Mania as much as possible .....Right now The EVENT itself does not look good.
This is all unless.....and it's a big unless.....Sting & Undertaker can take place.

TO be honest...my source inside...tells me ...fans and "the boys" inside are kinda more pumped for HBK's Hall of fame than the actual event.
So at the end...it shows...How much HBK is needed...Personally to me wrestling died when HBK left...so yeah.

I doubt there will be more than a Cena / Rock staredown. Leading into Mania. Cena should win the Elimination Chamber and get the title shot. Then the Rock will face off with both Cena and Miz to help the feud. IMO, Miz v Cena isn't a big enough match for Mania, so the Rock is going to be in the middle of it to help the hype.

Bro, people always like to say "oh way back when, everything was so much better," and for those out there who don't really follow wrestling, it's the cool thing to do to hate on Cena.
But while we're talking about the "good old days," I can think of many guys off the top of my head who were just as entertaining as the rock
DX, Triple H, The New Age Outlaws
Stone Cold
Mankind/Cactus Jack
The Undertaker
etc, etc...
Don't get me wrong, the Rock is an awesome fighter and a great entertainer. But people who say Cena has no right to be mentioned in the same sentence as him are just saying it to fit in w/ everyone else. He's been in the game now for almost 10 years, but people don't give the guy any respect. Served the company just as long as the rock did, and never left for hollywood.

Also, in the 90s everyone was always bitching about how low wrestling had gone and used to reminisce about the "good old days" of the Hulkster, the Macho Man, Nikolai Volkov/Iron Shek, Jesse the Body Ventura, Ricky the Dragon, etc, etc...
