Did you ever squat heavy?
I remember back when you prepped for nationals you just started squatting again after a long layoff.
Seems as you diet that your quads ( mostly adductors and tear drop area ) and glutes and hams are lacking. Missing dense muscle someone with as much time in the gym as you should have.

2nd place midwest champ - superheavys
Hey guys here are some pics from the past weekend. I took second place to Bryce Holmes in the superheavy's. He was going for his NQ to, so we had to battle it out. It was a good showing on both our parts. I felt good as a superheavy, I weighed in at 230lbs.
Now its on to a national level show. Not sure which one just yet. The original plan was Jr.Nats. But, with Gracey levels not stable yet, I cant put focus into that right now. It was hard the last few weeks, just to be ready for this show. So Im leaning toward the fall Nationals in November.
The best part of the show, was that I dedicated my routine and song to Gracey, (Arms wide open by Creed) there is a video of it on my facebook. So check that out there. But, after I did my routine, I got off stage. Grace and up to me and jumped on me to give me the biggest hug ever. I have never felt so loved more than that time, in my life. It was an experiance that Grace and I will never forget.
Overall, it turned out to be a good show, and I got my goal. Which was my NQ. So its time to move on, and try to be better. But, first I need to get Grace blood sugar regulated, and her insulin doses corrected.

thats awesome about your daughter. And good decision to hold off until her health is stable.
Did you over-carb in these? Also whatever you did for your color it didnt work. If you do nationals use one of the sprayers. Check my profile pic out or inside my profile. That is LSR color its badass.
I think in viewing these unless peak week went wrong, you have another 15 lbs to bring down in order to be shredded for nationals. Just my opinion.
Glad you got your NQ.www.scoobyprep.com

actully scooby, ever since Grace was in the hospital, I didnt diet as hard as I couldve have been. The last 3 weeks before this show was a blurrrr. I honestly just dont think I was totally leaned enough...thats really all...and yeah, a good 10-15lbs would make a huge difference...

Getting started with Shelby Starnes
Well the gameplan now is North Americans in 17 weeks. Shelby is getting a plan together and we will go from there.
Im sitting around 245-250lbs, i have been eating pretty clean. About 90% clean. Pro/carb based diet. Around 300-350 grams of protein a day, and I would say about 250-300 grams of carbs per day.
Here is a pic, from this past week...

Is it safe to assume that you got the issues with Grace's blood sugar figured out and fixed? I would imagine you did or you wouldn't be prepping for this show, already, but you didn't mention it so I wanted to ask. I hope she is doing well.
