okay back looks better in these, still needs width but it does look better. I wonder if you are rotating you shoulders enough. Many times guys arent driving their fists hard enough back towards the camera man and that leaves width on the table. Really try to get those fist behind the plane of the back of your head which will take some shoulder rotation as well. hard to explain i hope that worked though.
Also what type of refeed you taking with keto just one junk meal or an extended lower fat carb type eating. I myself ran keto for about 6 weeks into nationals (then the final 4 weeks I upped carbs daily and ran in on about 220 grams kept getting harder too) and ate low fat high carb from 6pm to midnight every friday and sometimes about 400 carbs midweek if i was moving to fast. Im not as big of a fan of the one junk meal anything you want, i feel people fill up on fats from pizza and dont really refill enough. Just curious how you guys are working that.www.scoobyprep.com

Well this week was the toughest week by far. What I mean by that, was this week I actully felt depleted by Wends evening. Today (friday) im beat up, sore, and very tired. I will have some extra carbs tommarow (sat) and a good cheat meal saturday evening (steak, potatoe, bread, dessert) prob try to get in a good 600 + carbs tommarow. Weight is down now to 245lbs this morning, and getting much, much leaner (although flater) Alot of fat around my mid section dissapeared this week, alont with some lower back fat (my tough area)...Quads are starting to really get some good seperation, along with my delts and arms. Pics should be somewhat impressive this week. Im very happy with my results this week.
the main change Mike Ross made this week was just adding in a second cardio session (evening for 30mins) and started a E/C/A stack ... 2 times per day...This really rev up my metabolism...

wow that' awesome that you hit 245 already - I am sure that was tough. One time i tried keto - it zappedmy energy. The eca should help with that. You have such mass, that once your fat is stripped away your physique will be killer!
Do you do the carb up only one day a week?
Enjoy that dinner, bro!

hey bro just wanted to give a few suggestions although your more advanced than myself but i do have wide thick lats and didnt always. my back was on the smaller side when training mostly in the higher rep range. i then had gotten a new training partner and he really encouraged me not to be scared to do back sets of low reps like for example if i was doing barbell rows for 3 sets possibly 8-6-4 with a drop on the last set. that heavy stuff just blew my back up in a months time and hasnt stopped growing since where it was stagnant before. The only thing i do high reps sometimes is pullovers i prefer the dumbell variety and also a version done on the cable w a rope up on the high attachment. as i feel significantly pumped and wider after these two exercises. best of luck condition looks on point for 20 weeks out.

I just saw this... didn't know you were journaling here too! Glad you're doing better and back on the road to the stage. Sounds like you're taking all the right measures to ensure that everything goes smoothly... lots of luck, Chris!
Oh, and congrats on the new sponsorship!!"The gym is one of life's best arenas for building the toughest of men. Not because you learn to experience success, but because you've been forced to accept failure and identify your flaws."

18 weeks out jr.nationals
ok here are the updated weekly pics. weight is now 245lbs (down 5lbs from last wk) Got much, much leaner this week. But, it was a very tough week of dieting. I was very hungry all week, but I was also much stricter than normal to. I think the extra cardio session (30mins extra per day, now 60 mins total) and the ECA stack did some wonders this week. 9 weeks to the warm up show (Mr.Iowa/Midwest) but I feel I'll be ready for this show. Shouldnt be a problem to be 95% there at the Iowa/Midwest. Let me know what you guys think .

Crappy show honestly. I know a couple guys that are light heavies that should be in good shape. Another one that weighs 279 at 5'10 (last show competed at 236) who is toying with the idea of doing it, and would win easily, but probably won't. He's won it before and needs to requalify, but he's gonna do a different show I think.
