Neurologist told me today nerve damage takes about 1" per month to recovery. Do he said count how many inches your arm is and that will tell you. Anyone betters out there?
Rehab is trying traction. Pulling my spine apart.

Done with rehab and started training on my own again. I get a lot of puzzled looks from gym members watching me do machine circuits instead of under 500lb barbells as they are used to seeing. I don't talk about my injuries so most people don't know what's going on.
Anyway with Lisa's help I got a solid hour of 20 rep sets of 8 exercise x 4 circuits done. I was really exhausted by the end of it, but felt great to get some real blood pump going again. My right arm is crazy weak but I know what to do and will get it done.

Trying to stay committed to gym time ever morning at 7 AM fasting for 45 mins of circuits. I actually felt my arm fill up with some blood today! Big little step!

First attempt at a sorta leg day
6 supersets of leg press and lying leg curls 20 reps ea exercise
4 sets of calve raises on seated plate loaded machine
Then came the hard part 6 ea 40 yard walking lunges used to do these w 135lb BB
Today BW....holy fuck that was hard........... my ass will be killing me tomorrow
My training is very humbling. Peeps in gym that dont know whats going on look at me and go WTF! I just pull my hoodie over my eyes and look straight ahead Ive gone from being the strongest guy in the gym to being a handicap person! This is mental anguish at it's finest.
I came real close to giving up last week. Then an older friend came up to me and ask WTF was my problem he hadnt seen me in the gym in weeks. He reminded me of what I had put my body through for the last 40+ years.
He said you give up now all those injuries are going to smack you in the face and you will be down for good. He's right and I needed to be slapped back into reality.
I got this.....Last edited by Hammerfit; 12-18-2014 at 04:30 PM.

Merry Christmas to everyone!
My year in review maybe was not so great. But in retrospect I thank God I am alive and still have a chance to make changes.
