first event is Apollon's Wheels.
The Apollon's Wheel will return to a maximum repetitions event in 2011, with the contestants lifting a 415-pound (187 kg) barbell over their heads as many times as possible.

second event of the day is the massive Hummer Tire deadlift.
my prediction; more than half the fiel will go more than 1,000lbs.

Are they allowed to put it overhead in whatever way possible? I take it at that weight this isn't a strict press lol

most guys use an over and under grip to bring it to their belly. no hooking on their belt if they wear one. then a switch of the underhand and a buck onto their shoulders. press is either a jerk or a press.

rocks the stage when they drop it... but to know its going up and up and up over and over again. technique, power, strength and conditioning are exemplified here.
