thanks!
lol well, I started lifting at 14 for football.. "bodybuilding training" at 18/19, and really started taking bodybuilding seriously about 1.5-2 years ago. I am 22 years old now, 23 in July. I enjoy mint chocolate chip the most , so that gum is a dieting savior. Hope that answers your questions lol.
thanks bro!Last edited by MattyH7688; 03-19-2011 at 03:05 PM.

Id like to see where you are now becuase in these Im of the opinion your quads, hams and glutes look way behind. Upper body is probably okay for 10 weeks out but skin looks really thick.
I think I read you havent changed the diet since 18 weeks out but just keep adding cardio. NO way thats going to be an effective plan to finally bring a shredded physique.
We know you got mass, Ive yet to see you shredded.
Im not being a dick, Im being a "objective observer" here and not telling you what all your "fans" are telling you.
Good Luck

Dude you have some great mass esp in the upper body but your lower body is running behind for sure.
I know Scoobs already told you you will have to lower cals. I don't know what type of cardio you are doing but you may consider adding in some interval training on a stationary bike to really hit the lower body hard.Last edited by data4; 03-19-2011 at 04:55 PM.

I woulda bet my house you were gonna respond the light was bad, thats your standby response last year. And you didnt end up shredded then.
Matt Ive taken TONS of pics over my career and when Im on point it doesnt matter what light Im in, I look on point. Im just telling you a) your cals are WAY to high if you are at 3700 still which i read at MD and b) you are behind. Id just accept ownership of the fact you are not on pace to finally be shredded, and do something about it.
I saw offseason pics of you that werent that far off this conditioning man. Tell me Im wrong. So if Ive been at this 10 weeks my diet hasnt been changed up since 18 weeks out and Im really no leaner than my offseason pics. Id start to say, damn, that guy who has been shredded is right. I need to make a move here.
Im only being hard on ya because I see potential, I dont waste this time on all guys threads. So take it as constructive and do something to change the path you are on. Post up new pics show me Im wrong and it was corrected.
Ask Bob Im saying nothing to you I wouldnt say to one of my guys to their face. The best Judges ARENT NICE about it when you talk to them, but they are usually real.

I think you are on time.
Depends how you evolve, I tend to loose a lot just before shows ( a lot of muscle too).Last edited by Sieve; 03-19-2011 at 05:52 PM.

Alex never brings in guys that aren't in good condition, i can attest to that. If alex thinks he's on track (one of the most shredded competitors i've seen) then i dont think matts in a bad spot lol, some people just lose it in different spots first. My hams were split and glutes were in pretty good a couple weeks ago, around 9 weeks out or so but my abs have yet to fully come in.

I completely understand where you are coming from... here is a pic the day AFTER legs on wednesday, not the best cell phone pic.. but it gives you maybe a better idea
lets use you as an example if you want to talk about pics...

you looked harder 4 weeks before that in better lighting.
I am working with Alex Azarian this year.. so I think he knows something about being shredded lol.
I am not trying to take anything away from you, I think you are a great bodybuilder and coach and I do like you as a person on here.
A lot can happen in 8/10 weeks.. I really just started to switch up my supplementing and stuff.. I was wrong about my calories, they were 3300.. which isn't a lot for someone doing over an hour of cardio a day at like 220lbs. My full offseason pics are on my facebook.. I definitely got a lot leaner than I was at 255 lol.Last edited by MattyH7688; 03-19-2011 at 06:13 PM.
