yea he did.. I personally had him second to Antoine at the show.
Hopefully someone else can chime in ha.. I just kinda do it. I think a good amount is genetics.
forgot about them!
yea I just need to focus on holding it quite a bit longer.. I can go 10 seconds easily with no practice, but that is in my house which is a lot different than being on stage lol.
someone bring me synthol and insulin/gh then!!!! lol.
thanks guys! I will.

Indeed.
In a matter of fact I think it is his vacuum of his abd that enhances his front double bicep shot.
Bottomline, if you can do it. Add it to you routine. I am old school.
I love that pose. I was never a big fan of Frank Zane though I respect his accomplishments. But his vacuum shot is awesome.

^ jeezus. that looks awesome. could probably grab his midsection with tweezers.
it'd be nice if someone had a link or something that showed the proper method to hit a vacuum shot. pretty please?
all i knows is, blow out all the air in your diaphragm, suck in your gut and stick your chest out.Last edited by Hydroshake; 03-24-2011 at 03:59 PM.

That's basically it. You exhale completely, and then pull your diaphragm up under your ribcage. Once you get the feel for it, it's simple.
Arnold says to start by practicing it on your hands and knees and holding it for 20-30 seconds at a time. Once you do that 3 or 4 times, progress to kneeling, then sitting, then standing.Last edited by rpen22; 03-24-2011 at 04:20 PM.

It's part of my regular ab workout. I do 5 set of 10 reps with a 10 second hold on each one. I do it in a variety of positions as well.
I hit abs 2-3x a week.
