WHEW!!!!!.....ALOT!!!!!!! went into Kyle's decision. Had solid offers from all divisions but Kyle DID NOT want to be red shirted and was completely sold on Mt Union from day 1..... GREAT football program, and great academics as well. I, myself, was most impressed by their coaches comparative to all the others I had spoken with.Very,very proud of him.......VERY happy with his choice. Has a chance to get on the field early in an elite program, with a great chance of playing for a national championship every year......He's training with me this off season with a goal of showing up for camp in August around 235-240. He will also be working with a friend of mine who does speed , conditioning , and agility training for college and professional athletes, beginning in May.

DECEMBER 31, 2014

First off, I want to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous New Year in 2015. For those of you looking to compete in the upcoming year....good luck and go for it! Personally, I have decided not to compete this upcoming year. I am just starting to get back on a normal routine, as the past 2 years have been hectic with Kyle's football, the recruiting process, the baby, etc.........I will devote my training to getting ready to compete in 3 shows 2016.....I will turn 60 then, and plan on doing the West Palm Over 60 and Open Middleweight in June, having won the whole show in my 50's that should be interesting.......the Southern States Over 60, and again, having won the Over 50 Overall previously should make that interesting as well. Then the following week I will go up to Pittsburgh to do the Master's Nationals Over 60. Gives me a whole year and a half to prepare. I am retiring this June, so my training can really get complete attention for the first time.

Seriously......I am really looking forward to being able to do what I love the way I have always dreamed of doing it: getting 8 hrs of sleep first time in 30+ years !! LOL!!!..Double Split training, beach everyday, riding the motorcycle everyday.... no work committments....ie, Arnold and the gang back in the Venice Beach days!!!!LOL!!! Can't wait to see where I can take this "mature" body with this kind of schedule! I plan on posting the whole journey starting June1 !!
