Buffalo Bisons shut out Red Wings, 5-0
Nick Evans and Kirk Nieuwenheis homered and the Red Wings’ offense managed just six hits as the Buffalo Bisons rolled 5-0 tonight at Frontier Field.
The Bisons scored in the top of the first on Fernando Martinez’s two-out double to left off Kyle Gibson. That was the only run Buffalo managed off Gibson, who allowed four hits and struck out eight in six innings.
Jeff Manship took over in the seventh and gave up a two-run homer to Evans, who beat the Wings with two homers last Thursday in Buffalo. Manship also allowed a leadoff homer to Kirk Nieuwenhuis in the eighth.

Promo video leaks Buffalo's new uniforms
By Tim Graham
The Buffalo Bills' new uniform design apparently has been revealed.
A "Madden NFL 12" promotional video briefly posted on YouTube showed highlight clips of the game, including shots of Bills receiver Steve Johnson, outside linebacker Chris Kelsay safety Donte Whitner in the new duds.
A league source confirmed the uniforms shown in the clip -- an homage to the ones worn from 1975 through 1983 -- were the real deal.
As of 10:30 p.m. ET, the video still was available on the EA Sports official site. Keep your eyes peeled at about the 14-second mark (thanks to Bleacher Report writer Chris Trapasso for the Twitter tip).
For a mental picture of what the uniforms will look like, think the Joe Ferguson-era Bills but with a contemporary take.
The helmets will be white with the blue charging buffalo and gray facemasks. Jerseys will have broad stripes on the shoulders instead of the sleeve bottom. Pants will be blue or white, the opposite of the jersey. Blue pants will have red-between-white piping. White pants will have red-between-blue piping.
Socks will have blue-and-white striped tops, and players will have the option to wear blue or white shoes as opposed to black. Belts are believed to be gray.
It's difficult to judge when trying to picture the new uniforms in your mind and without a vivid photo.
But it's a clean, classic look I think will go over well with the fans.

ALL THE LOVE I GIVE YOU SANDPIG AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!!!!..( its near Canada)
The Aud was full of memories. But it was a terrible place to watch a game, let alone anything else. The seats were too small and there were alot of seats that you could'nt even see the whole ice surface. Progress Brother. HSBC Arena is fantastic. Not a bad seat in the house!!! And that will be where the Sabres hoist their first CUP...that will be a memory!!

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Nate Bump struggled in his last start against the Buffalo Bisons, but he would not have a repeat performance this time out.
Instead, the Lehigh Valley starter dominated the Herd lineup on his way to a 6-3 win in the first game of a four-game series Saturday played before 9,504 at Coca-Cola Park.
Bump pitched 6 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball, scattering five hits with no walks and facing just two batters over the minimum. He carried a no-hitter into the fourth inning before the Herd's Kirk Nieuwenhuis drove a ball deep for a double, just missing a home run.
