Simple question. Don't know if this is gonna garner discussion or not. No need to argue for those who MIGHT watch it. I want to know about YOU.

Would you sit down and watch the new men's physique division? Be it with board shorts and quarter turns, or with props as some videos have shown?

i don't even want to watch bikini on a bbing stage, the heck if I am going to pay to watch mens physique. however, the NPC is no longer a BBing organization so it fits right in.

There does not need to be a place for everyone to fit in in a BBing contest. Don't see the need to add it to NPC contests.

^ Calm down Jr. Do you think it will mean the end of bodybuilding? You need to move with the times, the rest of the world has adopted something similar ie scaled down physique divisions and it has increased competition/participation/patronism so is that such a bad thing?

i never said i thought it would be the end of bodybuilding. just because you like it doesnt mean i have to. and from those videos... yes its a bad thing.

If it's done right I see the positives outweighing the negatives. Look what figure and bikini has done for the NPC? Thanks to figure and now bikini the npc is getting record numbers in it's participation. As it is now, bodybuilding competition in it's purest form is at best a minor fringe subculture and you may like it to remain that way but that ain't what currently paying the bills in the npc- figure/bikini is.

Agree here... plus, I pretty much have to watch it- as I work most of the shows out here lol. But I agree with you regardless.

They have couples fitness in I think MuscleMania... not sure though... I know I've seen it. Kind of cool, but the guys look more like dancers or cheerleaders. But still... the routines look hard. It isn't bodybuilding though... and I don't think people are saying Physique is bodybuilding.

NPC is "National Physique Committee" - not NBA - National Bodybuilding Committee - or National Basketball Association for that matter.

As long as it has to do with some sort of physique competition, I would think it would be fair game for them to add... I mean, every other organization has similar shit and there is interest there - there will be interest in the NPC
